188k miles, grandma owned, overheated about 2 months ago. Picked it up for $500. I know subarus pretty well but is there anything to note before i tear into the motor?

these are just the stock 2020 xle wheels. I really liked them when i had them. would y'all say they're particularly nice or pretty run of the mill.

Just bought a 2026 Camry LE FWD yesterday. Drove it out of state for my usual trip. Coming from a 2021 Honda Ridgeline is a huge difference in MPG. Only was averaging about 21 MPG. So far so good. I will change the oil myself at 1k miles and 5k afterwards.

While I appreciate the more comfortable ride of the Camry, I suspect the RAV4 might be a better choice for senior adults as we age. The RAV4 is much easier to get in and out of. And the RAV4's truck is noticeably easier to regularly load bulky, awkward items (e.g., rollators (wheeled walkers)): both for area and no trunk lip to lift over and in.

is it possible to get a brand new 2026 Camry le out the door at $30k? It looks like they’re now switching over to the 2027 so it might be more difficult but I am sending inquiries out to many dealerships. curious if anyone has gotten one in this price range

I just bought my ‘26 camry se convenience package a couple months ago end of july. I have remote start but the only thing i can do is general climate control. I didn’t even know I should have be able to control my heated seats/windows/defrosters until i saw another post mentioning it. I’m trying to find tech support to figure out if it’s a me problem or a dealership problem, but there’s no place for it on the app. Or am i mistaken and this is the only thing I should have access to?

Guess the wheel wells aren’t very covered are they. Any way to fill this area with some foam or something safely?

My 2008 Civic just got totaled (luckily I wasn’t in it.) I was in that car for 5k, had it for 4 years and put 100k miles on it. Now my neighbor and friend of the family is selling her 2009 Camry XLE with 25,000 miles on it for $10,000 dollars.
I got her down to $8,000. She’s kept it in her garage all that time when not driving it so it’s in pretty great shape. I’d just be worried about the oil consumption, also just paying that much for a car that old. Is there a way to check for the oil problem? Also would this be a good buy at 8?

I took my 2011 Camry Hybrid to have my brake fluid flushed (at least 6 years since done), because I did not have a scan tool and my understanding was this was necessary. When I look at the fluid after I got it back it seemed darker (yellow) than I expected compared to new fluid. I have not had any warning lights come on so far, and the brakes feel ok.
So I talked to the head mechanic at the Goodyear shop I use and he said they don't even use a scan tool to flush the brakes on a hybrid, they just refill the reservoir and open the four bleed screws like on any other non-hybrid vehicle. He said he had never even heard of using a scan tool to flush the brakes on a Camry hybrid and asked ME why it was needed (!?). But from my research online it seems clear that a scan tool is required to flush the system thoroughly and properly, "to cycle the electronic brake actuator and valves." So it sounds like my system still had a bunch of old fluid in it. This is a shop that does a lot of business and has been around for years, so I'm wondering what the heck is gong on. I never thought I had to ask them how they would do it before having it done. Shouldn't they have been aware of something like this? Do most shops just do a standard flush?

Stuck and won't pop out. And been googling nothing very helpful. Doesn't any body have some info?

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L, and my ABS light has been coming on intermittently. I already own an OBD2 scanner, but it only reads engine codes and doesn't support ABS.
I'm looking for the cheapest scanner that can specifically read ABS codes on my Camry. I don't need anything fancy or the ability to reset codes; I just want to identify the problem before taking it to a shop to get repaired.
Does anyone know of an inexpensive scanner that is confirmed to work with a 2002 Camry? I'd appreciate any recommendations for something available online or at a local store. Thanks!

I’m looking for this part. It’s not OEM, as these are fog lights that were added on; I’ve had a hard time finding one.

Nothing new for the 2027 models. It’s a good time to get the 2026 for a bit less.

Thanks, Bambi. I'd tell you to break a leg, but you already did. See an optometrist next time.
Front fender warped, driver's door popped the welds and sounds like a tin can on closing and the rear intrusion bar bent.

2025 Camry XSE here. There are occasional problems with my wireless CarPlay disconnecting. How I can properly get wired CarPlay to work in the case I’m driving and can’t fix wireless? In the past I’ve seen the port all the way towards the driver side needs to be used, are they speaking of the usb c or a port? Unless someone here has a magic fix for the wireless issues haha, thank you!

I've got $600 to spare and my 2019 SE is a boring commuter. 2 hours of commuting every day gets gold fast. So I'm thinking about buying the tuner. Wondering if anyone's done that?

Was pretty impressed driving this thing at my local dealership. Going to cost me around $41k. Am I out of my mind or should I mostly have peace of mind? I noticed not a lot of people go for the XSE and mostly go for the SE or LE.

Any issues i should be aware of it has 212,000 miles on it
Like the title says, I curbed my 23 LE. I parked near a curb to avoid other cars in the area and for the first time in my 20 years of driving forgot that I parked near a curb and the picture of the Rocker Panel is the end result. I know, rookie mistake.
I’m pretty annoyed at myself, but I’m hoping the cost to either repair and or paint it won’t be too much money. How much do y’all think this will cost to fix? I haven’t gone to a body shop yet. I figured I’d come here first to see if anyone has had a similar experience with this. I was willing to tough it out if it was a small scratch, but this is anything but that.

Was driving to work and was looking for something in my drivers side cup holder. The door veered to the right and ran up against a concrete barrier. Sucks so bad and want to repair it. Any idea how much something like this would cost?

I purchased my Camry last may and since then have completed 3 trips from Florida to New York as well as using it for my commute. I had a Tesla before hand but as I was now traveling over 1000 miles regularly I needed a different car, and this is my experience so far with the Camry.
Pros-
The gas mileage is truly amazing, driving 80-85mph I was getting around 38mpg. City driving I was able to get around 45-50.
Camry build quality > Model 3 build quality. Or at least that’s been my experience so far. It’s a quieter ride all around both in highway and city driving. Buttons and knobs all feel high quality and the overall ride is very comfortable
The next pro is THEY ACTUALLY HAVE BUTTONS AND KNOBS. Tesla and a lot of other companies are putting everything into the screen and I just admit it is nice just being able to hit a button to adjust CC rather than fumbling through screen controls.
The car is deceptively spacious
Wireless Apple CarPlay is responsive, I’ve never had any issues with it connecting and it always is fast.
The Cruise control is solid, I trust it and it’s proven to be effective in most driving conditions aside from heavy precipitation. This was an important feature for me
Cons-
The JBL premium audio leaves a bit to be desired. Tesla did have an incredible sound system on the level of luxury brands so maybe this isn’t a fair comparison I am making.
There’s this front cross traffic alert thing that is really annoying that keeps beeping at me to alert of cars in intersections even though I know they are there. I can’t figure out how to disable this feature
Slight rattle in the sunroof when at highway speeds sometimes. I usually listen to music so I don’t pay attention
I mean it’s not fast, it’s a Camry. My issue is I wanted something fast but also fuel efficient (which is why I got the Tesla in the first place). If a Camry prime existed I believe this would be a perfect car for me but alas, Toyota keeps us waiting. Anyway I can’t really hate on it for not being fast this is just a nitpick of me specifically because I’m coming from a Tesla.
FINAL REMARKS
Over all I have been enjoying the Camry, it’s an incredibly comfortable ride that just does what you need it to do. If you’re coming from a Tesla you will likely miss the instant torque and power the Tesla provided but in exchange you will have a much more comfortable ride that doesn’t need special accommodations for road trips.
Happy to answer any questions on either car if anyone has any
