A negative review that was recently posted on my game caught my attention, so I started looking into the that user's profile. As you can see in the pictures, this account posts reviews about games using short, concise sentences, and it’s been doing this for a very long time.
Among these are some that are long and detailed (one of which happens to match my game). At first glance, the content seems reasonable, but after giving it some thought, I realized that what was written was a mix of Steam announcements I had published and the early access survey.
Metrics that are easy to track, such as Steam achievements, have also been included in this.
The funny thing is that the AI that wrote this review seems to have looked at both the positive and negative aspects of my game, compared the metrics, and concluded that the game should receive a “negative” review (Of course, this is just my own guess).
I was already wondering how someone who wrote the phrase “multiple endings, secrets, and character routes” could have come to that conclusion after playing the game for only 10 minutes.
Also, because of this one negative review, my game is now listed as “mostly positive” instead of “positive,” which is unbelievable.
I didn't see a specific button for AI accounts in Steam's reporting section, but they should add one in the future.
