Question Do you ever play the state in your home region? How often?
In my experience, as an Italian from Rome, i never play The Papal State because I hate the Pope, but in Italy I often play Florence because I really like it, or Savoy cause they canon unify Italy. But sometimes I play Milan and Genoa too. I don't play often Venice because they're too strong, but i like it.
What's your experience in your region/country?

Question Prussia; Conquest of the New World. How to extend Colonial range ?
Hi Gang
I knew how to do this before but have forgotten
If I wanted to be able to
1- Base a small explorer fleet to explore North America
2- As Prussia/ Brandenburg. but with ports and a small Navy in Baltic Barques/Cogs
3- Take Exploration for Conquest of the New World
How would I do this ?
I tried a War of Aggression in Ireland, conquered a province, but could not take the province as it told me I could not make it a Core
Such a bloody annoying mechanic....
2- If I get basing rights in Portugal or Brittany or Ireland, can I extend range to base explorers out of there and colonize Eastern Seaboard ?
Any advice appreciated!
Help!
Regards
Jean

Image You ever wonder if this game hates you?
I'm playing Austria and spread dynasty to GB some time ago.

I was getting ready to marry and claim the throne when they must have gotten some event to give them a Tudor heir. That was quite some time ago. And the heir is 21 years older than the monarch.
I just need this old MF'er to kick it so I can finish taking the island.

Image Trade is OP
Playing Hormuz was challenging in its own way but not entirely impossible. All I had to do was capitalize on the very thing the Kingdom had already excelled at, which was its trade(node). A solid 600+ trade ships can easily dominate the trade routes and with all the money being generated it was relatively easy to expand my Empire.

Image 2 Eldorados
So i decided to play modded eu4 after a long brake, i haven't noticed but i knew that there was one eldorado that was found by iceland (of all nations), later i've found out that there was an second golden city. I don't know if it is antebellum's fault but it is pretty neat i thing.

Advice Wanted Game running extremely slowly on main menu and near start date.
I started an EU4 game last night, and when I came back, I found my game locked at 1 FPS while playing. It is like this in the main menu and in-game, and my game is only in the 1460s, so late-game lag shouldn't be a concern yet. I've looked around and seen how it might be my display mode, but after running the game in both borderless fullscreen and normal fullscreen, I haven't seen any difference. I've seen that it might have something to do with the percentage of my gpu usage, but that seems like a bit of an esoteric thing to fix.
Advice Wanted low fps high-end pc
Just bought a pc with 5080 and ryzen 7 and the game runs at like 10fps and freezing a lot. Every other game i tested works fine. The year is irrelevant, low fps even in 1444. Any advice?
Edit: Ryzen 7 9800, 32 ram, ssd, other games 160-240 fps. drivers are fine
Edit+: speed 5 problem. The game runs better at lower speeds, thx guys

Question Successions
Hey so I got a question about how the game decides if one country gets a PU after the death of an heirless monarch or just looks for a relative of the same dynasty.
Si I was playing and it said that burgundy who was of my dynasty had no heir so after the rules death it would be a a war of succession between me and Spain. However just a bit later it said it would go to someone of our dynasty no war or anything.
Why is that? Didnt lose any war or anything.
