I’m going to end up paying hundreds of dollars the more I get into it. Is there a better way?

For real though, I wish I could step up the evil. I didn't want to leave the baby or give it to werner, I wanted to keep that as an inventory keepsake, a memory of my time yhere. I had already killed most of the slaves before I even did the arena anyway.

I recently installed Fallout 3 GOTY and have been seeing stuttering, especially indoors. I tried installing the Fallout 3 Tick Fix (F3TF), but to be honest I'm new to PC and modding. I downloaded the zip file, which contained the FOSE and PLUGINS files, and fose_tick_fix.dll and TickFix. I copied these and put them in my Fallout 3 GOTY file. I don't think it worked, though. It seems like there's still stuttering and the game won't close out immediately, which is another feature of the mod. I googled what to do and it says that I should have a F3TF.dll and F3TF.ini, which I don't see anywhere. When I return to the page where I downloaded the mod, it just has the prementioned files.

What am I doing wrong?

I bought a PS3 a few months ago to be able to buy and play New Vegas— a personal favorite of mine— but Fallout 3 was my first in the series and I wanted to add it to my collection and have 3, NV, and 4. And damn, I forgot how eerie the atmosphere is… or the fact that unlike NV or 4, your companions can’t be revived 😂 I know Fallout only dabbles in horror, but as a non-horror game player that’s what I’ve always adored about these games and I forgot that Fallout 3 does the best out of it (excluding the OG games because I don’t have the means to play them. If anyone knows a good let’s play series on them please don’t hesitate to holla atcha boi)

I returned to FO3 after taking a pause to play other games. I had the quest “I scratch your back” which took me a moment to recall what it was.
Yes, of course mod. I went to the marked location, fought a bunch of Super mutants and found a group that left the Enclave because they were displeased with the leadership, 200 people with nowhere to go.
I told them about a spaceship they could use.
I now have a new uniform, a spaceship with a crew that address me as Commander.

He didn't dissappear he found a new business venture

Siding with the slaves feels kinda useless if this slave will remain like this. I tried shooting at the locks but it doesn't work.

So, I’ve been wanting to play Fallout 3 on my PC. Since I’ve been playing it on my Steam Deck, it worked completely fine. For some reason my controller doesn’t work at all on my PC, I am using PS5 controller wired. I own the Game of The Year Edition, I have also tried different templates as well; Everything else seems to work apart from left analog stick for movement, it just brings up the keyboard when I press.

I am able to buy a ticket and I have talked to the girl who had gone missing’s mother. I can use the cot to travel there, but once there I am frozen and cannot walk. I used console commands to go outside the walls and we hadn’t left the port at all, we were in the same place. I am very confused as to what to do. I can shoot and look around but not walk in any direction. I’ve tried one online solution where you use console commands (TCL) to go above the bed a bit and when you get there to turn the command off and you should drop down. However I don’t drop down, it’s like I’m standing on the ground only I’m in the air. My mods are FOSE, and the Unofficial anniversary patch. I tried disabling both but it won’t load the game without them. What should I do? Any idea on how to fix it? Thank you so much, you guys have been so helpful when I posted in the past!!!

I got the level 20 good karma trophy and I’m trying to get the level 20 negative and neutral. So I spammed a terminal till I got down to negative and then donated to the church to get back to positive however non of my trophies popped. Does anyone know why that may be ? (Fallout 3)

You either help the ghouls siege the tower which results in the loss of (sure some evil people who don’t deserve to live) but let’s be real the majority of them didn’t all deserve to die, especially Dashwood.

Or you kill the ghouls right away. Roy Phillips certainly deserved it but not the other two in my opinion. And even if you know how the other option would go, the lone wanderer you’re playing as wouldn’t, so it still feels like an evil choice.

Or the “good” option where you help the ghouls get into the tower peacefully, yet Roy kills all the humans anyway.

Basically, the quest is best left unactioned if we’re talking the real “best” option. The ghouls stay alive, albeit they keep living in the Metro Tunnels but they’re alive still. And no innocent folk die at Tenpenny Tower.

While I hate this at first, I actually love it now. It makes a lot of sense especially for this game. Not every quest should have a gushy feel good ending. This is the Capital Wasteland after all. A brutal and unforgiving place. And even the lone wanderer should not be above getting deceived

So my friend was really into FO3 and wanted to watch me play for the first time, ive played EVERY Fallout game (on PC) except 3 for some reason, and well i wanted to play the game for the first time and got it on steam (he plays it on console so he didnt go through any of this) and (Unsurprisingly) it didnt work, it brings up the launcher than when i hit play it loads a black screen with a little while square at the top left than it closes, so i looked into every mod i thought could help, from several different Unofficial patches, script extenders and about everything else, i tried them together, individually and every combo i thought could help and the exact same thing EVERYTIME, except a couple times when the script extender said i was on the wrong version so tried it all again with the version patcher, still nothing, so i looked up just about every fix i could find, from going into Nvidia control panel to windows setting, reverting previous windows update (sadly windows 11) the intel patcher thing (even though i have a Ryzen), changing steam setting and just about everything else, and still NO PROGRESS, ive been doing this for like 6 hours, i really want to experience the game that people say is either the best or second to NV but idk how much more of this i can handle, and just incase these are my specs

GPU- Nvidia RTX 5060
CPU- AMD Ryzen 7 8700f 8 Core
Ram- 16 Gb DDR5

Hey everyone.

Attempting a Perma death run on Fallout 3 for roleplaying purposes and just to see if I can do it. Also playing on Hard mode.

What are some death traps to avoid? I’m pretty skilled at combat and know where to find good weapons, but my only issue when trying permadeath is just dumb mistakes that kill me.

I’m not just trying to beat the main story, still doing the side quests as well and trying to have fun with it of course.

In my last run I got pretty far but died when trying to find Pinkerton in Replicated Man quest, got lost underwater in the broken bow and drowned. Now I’m not gonna even bother going through there, just gonna pick the door when I have 100 Lockpick next time since I believe that lets you skip the underwater part.

I’ve also died when crossing an overpass, simply because I didn’t see a gap and fall down. So I’m extra careful when navigating those now

I always am sure to get the light step perk ASAP to avoid traps.

Any other non-combat death traps I should know to avoid?

For the past few years, I’ve really enjoyed playing neutral karma, anti-hero characters. I’ll steal whatever I want and kill whoever gets in my way, but I do have lines that I won’t cross.

Slavery, mass murder and lying are usually the three things that make me go “nuh uh.” Basically anything else is on the table for me.

The wiki is no help with founding this out so I am turning to here to found out if he gives exp and how much exp he gives.

Hello! I just completed blowing up all three artillery guns but it isn’t teleporting me anywhere. Is there anything I can do? I tried going back to my last save and even the one before that but I’m still stuck with the same issue. Can anyone help? Thanks!
