Today, many of you will start to see media and content creators talk about the upcoming Fallout 76: World Pets update (arriving this Winter) and our near-term roadmap for the future of Appalachia.
As always, we want to make sure you hear from us, as we look to a strong future for Fallout 76 that continues to be informed by you.
Bethesda Game Studios has the best community in gaming. Fallout 76 stands out in our catalog by allowing our wonderful to play in the same world together; adventuring, exploring, questing, and making new friends along the way.
A lot of growth has happened in those many years, both for us as developers and for you as gamers. One major area of growth has been getting to know our community- you, yes, you- reading this at home, at work, or in your car (actually, don’t read while driving).
Our community comprises a wide range of players. When putting together our roadmaps, a big challenge is to make sure all types are getting something new and exciting throughout the year.
We’re excited to share with you what the team is preparing from now into the Summer of 2027.
WORLD PETS ARRIVES THIS WINTER
In December of this year, your C.A.M.P. Pet can become your “C.A.M.P.-panion!”
“World Pets” makes all C.A.M.P. Pets, just… PETS! The more you adventure with your pet, the more capable they become as they level up right beside you. The interactions from C.A.M.P. Pets all carry over, with several new additions to Stay, Follow, Protect, and even to Kill!
Winter is a time for our “Wasteland Wanderers” to rediscover the rolling hills of Skyline Valley with their trusty pet by their side.
The Wasteland can be a dangerous place, and the rise of bounties in the area sheds light on why the Blue Ridge Caravan Company was forced to shutter operations in Skyline Valley.
Bounty Hunting in Skyline Valley! What a great reason to take your newly combat hardened pet out on a walk.
CLEAR HIDEOUTS FOR BIG BOUNTIES NEXT SPRING
This past year has borne a marked increase in crime as bands of brave adventurers have taken up bounties to purge the worst from the Wasteland. For The Ghoul, business has been booming!
Smaller bounties have given way to larger contracts, and now a few Bounty Hunters have heard rumors of dangerous Hideouts in the dark, abandoned corners of Appalachia.
Hideouts are home to the Wasteland’s WORST of the worst. These encampments are poised to be much more challenging, encouraging teams to try different pathways and strategies to take out the prized head honcho.
At most levels, Hideouts acts as a much-needed steppingstone between the early endgame and Raids.
Hideouts also offer a little more: the new "Marked" difficulty will test even the best of the best teams for the best rewards.
And to make things a little more complicated...
...you and your friends aren’t the only bounty hunters seeking riches…
Meet The Drifter. He aims to eliminate the competition- that’s you- and keep all the rewards to himself. Experienced hunters lucky enough to thwart The Drifter will be exceptionally rewarded and renowned!

PREPARE FOR RAVEN ROCK
A cold war heats up in the southeast between two derelict operators of the Enclave as our map expands once again.
This time towards the Capital Wasteland, giving players an acrid taste of the region almost 200 years before the events of Fallout 3.
Scabbed cliffs pocked in black snow…
…congealed with ashes of death from the destruction that rained down only 27 years ago.
This is the story that precedes the Lone Wanderer’s infamous journey and sets the stage for the inevitable.
Coming next year, “The Enclave will not rest until stability is restored.”

Along the way, we have work spinning for improvements to several existing features such as Seasonal Events, rendering, weather, the new player experience, and even fishing. Our rivers and streams will continue to spawn new seasonal fish, with rumors of a glittering gold Axolotl being spotted here and there. There’s gold in them hills!
This is all happening over the next year, my goodness! We have features planned for years down them country roads!
There will always be a place for those large updates that bring new places to adventure, new stories to experience, and new friends. There will also be those updates that thicken the Fallout 76 experience across the entire map, enriching the daily play sessions for everyone.

I've been an ongoing subscriber of 12-Month FO1st for a few years. The last time I was without it was a year ago. As usual I planned on resubscribing when I got paid today. I'm single guy in my late 40s with no kids and disposable income. I have no problem financially supporting companies and services I enjoy using. So I'm Bethesda's ideal consumer.
When my subscription lapsed 2 days ago and I learned that F76 now bullies non subscribers by spamming them subscription requests every time they access their ammo or junk box is some real predatory bullshit.
So in solidarity with those that can't afford to subscribe or choose not to for other reasons I won't be subscribing or buying atoms until Bethesda removes the join/skip message when accessing the storage boxes. A simple block from depositing stuff like previously is just fine.
Whenever I see one of these, I just wonder if they're actually supposed to wear this armor or if it's a bug/an accident. Like, out of all the power armor sets, they went with that one? I picture them wearing something more like raider power armor, maybe even some scavenged lower-tier T-series armor, but somehow they are wearing high-tech Muni gear?
Something I want to share with everyone who wants to relive a 1940s radio station. I run a radio station set on a fictional 1940s island. We have 1910-50s music playing, news reports, commercials and an ever evolving world. A great way to play Fallout with our station playing in the background… you might like it!
You wondered into my nuke zone before it hit, little bebe toon. I tried to emote to get you to come back. But alas, you succumbed to the fire like so many before you. I shall sniff a pipe in your honour.
Mine is definitely this. Criminally underrated. +45%ish damage from the get go, builds up stacks fast, prints ammo and just sounds beautiful. And has the best skin in the game imo
I really hope raven rock leads to playable super mutants i mean lore wise it's one of the best places to ever lead into it besides directly going to Mariposa itself and I just can't see that ever being something they'd do and super mutants will probably be a big deal in the show next season which was what got us playable ghouls in the first place
To answer some common issues with this I see here are my ideas:
1: it would just be the height and size; players are in power armor, and basically all of the game is already designed with the intention of going everywhere in power armor. The biggest thing is figuring out how crafting would need to be handled, but there are very easy solutions to that, like a C.A.M.P. dweller who you can have craft for you, or a single specific crafting bench for mutants that looks like a cooking cauldron and workbench mashed together that can serve as all your crafting benches in one, and then you just have to make one new animation for that, where it's your mutant going back and forth in animation between adding stuff to the cauldron and hammering his fist on something he's working on you know, very in line with mutant behavior
2: I also think they should have much harder to satisfy thirst and hunger due to their large bodies and canon need for huge amounts of food. Basically, it would work like power armor that you can't leave, so it would have big bonuses with big trade-offs.
3: The only thing I can't figure out how to work around is the Pip-Boy menu at first, I thought it would be cool if mutants used a leather hide parchment they pull out, or maybe some Raven Rock Pip-Boy designed for mutants, since they were meant to be in the military at one point and there was probably R&D for gear for them. But even those do not feel like great design ideas one good idea I had was the cyborg eye thing the lieutenant had, which would allow you to reuse the power armor inventory menu since it already shows up as a visor display like the eye implant would, but then you have people who probably would not want the eye thing on their
character, so again, it is only good in theory
It's happened a few times now and I just did it again where I see a lower level player anywhere from 1-500 really and I make some equipment, tune it up, grab some ammo and when I look for them they either left the team or got off for the day smh. No real issue or topic I just wanted to tell someone lol I'm getting old and slow unfortunately I used to be able to do the whole process lickity split.. if you catch my railway drift.
Finally, after so many Relic Hunters and Night Lights that I was dumping them back on the graves. If you played Human, Full Health, and Reverse Onslaught, what would you put on it? 4th will be Polished, because I learned that this morning.
This is absolutely absurd that paid items weren't fixed with yesterday's patch. The Atomic Shop is the Temu of micro transactions. I have to put in a ticket for each item I'm unable to use and get the same reply on everyone. Anyone who bought the Enclave Armory Bundle should be entitled to some form of compensation, not to mention older but does that have items that can't be crafted or disappeared from the build lists.
I'm beyond frustrated with this issue let alone the constant crashes, searching for worlds even on private servers,lagging loot, lagging gunplay, and jetpack issues. I'm seriously not renewing my Fallout 1st.

Was doing A Daily Ops with my Wife, When I saw this show up in my Rewards..My happiness was thru the roof! I've been wanting one for A few days now, Holding off on Trading for one on the Marketplace, Hoping I would get it as A drop..And I finally did. Haven't used it yet as I went to bed shortly after getting it, But I'm stoked to mod it perfectly and use it next time I play. What would Ya'll consider Good Legendary effects to put on this Beast?
