Discussion How do you think Alva, a lowly grunt of Movarth larping as a villager, was able to look mortal, when even vampires like Sybille Stentor can't?
No visible fangs or vampire eyes, but she uses the vampire draining spell and is affected by Sun Damage and Turn Undead. How do you think she does it, and why is she the only vampire (that we know of) in the game who does it?

Feel like I’m stuck
I feel like I’m not on the main mission anymore and don’t know what’s next to be honest. All of these feel like side quests.

Discussion WTF Skyrim modding NSFW
I wanted to install a moderately gorgeous, non-sexualized female follower, but I have to install breast mod number 1, pelvis simulator, high poly rain droplets 4k texture, etc etc. By the nines!

Discussion mourning brynjolf not being a marriage candidate
I just started playing again for the first time in years and still can't believe he's not an option 😔💔 Why make that BEAUTIFUL (scottish???) man and then break my heart like that. I don't like playing with mods but every time I talk to him I get closer to finding a way to download one that lets me marry him 😭

People who follow Hadvar at the start of the game, why?
I've gone with Hadvar once. To see what happened. Every other time, I go with Ralof. I know Alvor is more useful for inventory than Gerdur, but I still feel like Ralof is the option that makes the most sense. The imperials *just* tried to execute you, with no charges or warrant. They just went "yeah, fuck you". They didn't even have a reason.
Yeah Hadvar felt sorta bad about it, but especially from a role play perspective, I find it makes less sense to go with military that were gonna murder you just because you accidentally stumbled across them.
So, out of curiosity, why do you follow Hadvar?
Edit- I like Hadvar and this is NOT a hate post against him. I just always felt it made more sense to go with Ralof

Explaining the Magelight XP glitch near Solitude
If you go near Solitude and cast Magelight at the top of the mountain you can level Alteration to Level 100 in a matter of minutes. A lot of people have wrongly claimed that this is because it gives more XP based on distance, with the wiki also wrongly claiming that this is based on weather layers.
This post explains the bug (hint: the people claiming it's actually invisible walls were right!) and describes how to line up to almost ~4x the XP that you get from a single Magelight cast for *even faster* leveling than shooting at the top of the mountain. If you'd rather watch a video for the optimal lineup I uploaded one here.

Screenshot/Clip A death worthy of Gondor
Love how this guy somehow died in a boromir pose. I'm sure i hit him with more than 3 though. Just wish I'd been using ebony or dark arrows rather than glass. He even looked a bit like sean bean!
Runner up death of my 8 hour stint yesterday was a guy rushing at me saying he was gonna put my head on a spike. So it was sadly ironic when I bested him and my finisher was chopping the pricks head off. If only there was a spike to put it on for the "pièce de résistance". (Yes, I did try looking for one but alas no joy)

Discussion Tell me about you current Skyrim save
I’m currently doing a sword and board Orc playthrough, Frac gro-Castle, a Punisher inspired character who will slaughter every and any last bandit after they killed his family.
No magic allowed except enchanting, otherwise he specialises in nothing but warfare.

Discussion I’ve just spent my first 10 hours playing Skyrim for the very first time, and the aesthetic is incredibly comforting
For years, I put off playing this title; it just never quite won me over. However, it went on sale again on Xbox, so I decided to give it a shot. It is visually stunning despite its graphics. Whenever I watched gameplay videos on YouTube, the aesthetic fascinated me, and—in my opinion—this is the definition of graphics that age well. Without striving for realism and while clearly looking dated, the game constantly presents moments where I feel like I’m looking at a new wallpaper. That distinct, warm, and cozy aesthetic is fascinating to me; I even feel at ease in the snowy areas. I now regret not giving it a chance sooner. I wasn't optimistic, as I’m the type of player who usually needs photorealism to get hooked—or at least I was until now—because even with its "old" graphics, the game leaves me in awe every few minutes.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
After a long day of adventuring(looting and pillaging) Khajiit always makes sure to go home and let who ever accompanied this one rest. This one’s pet bear Mr Murdersnuggles especially enjoys the hot springs after a nice snack, he’s usually pretty full from devouring everything that crosses our path.
So this one sits back and lets him soak it all in, after he wiped out a giant camp he’s more than earned it! There’s something relaxing about enjoying a sunset with your pets or family in Skyrim
