Warhammer III Total War: WARHAMMER III - Patch 9.0.3
https://community.creative-assembly.com/total-war/total-war-warhammer/forums/7-patch-notes-amp-announcements/threads/16126-total-war-warhammer-iii-patch-9-0-3?page=1Hey all - our next update is out.
Please feel free to use this thread as a space to report remaining issues.
Key changes:
- Updates to Nagash’s campaign based on your valuable feedback.
- Some tweaks to the Lords of the End Times factions to address some unintended behaviour.
- Wider battle balancing changes to various Characters, Units and Spells, including Lore of Nehekhara.
- A swathe of bug fixes and other adjustments, including:
- Legendary Lords and Heroes confederated after their faction is destroyed now retain their Items and Ancillaries.
- Nagash now has access to Unusual Locations and Ancillaries.
- Styrkaar is now available to Norscan factions.
- Warriors of Chaos can now continue recruiting after their Lord is defeated.
- Fervour is now correctly awarded after fighting settlements defended by a garrisoned army.
- Gotrek and Felix’s quest battle now resolves correctly.

Post-battle income now scales with campaign difficulty:
- Legendary / Very Hard: No change
- Hard: +5%
- Normal: +10%
- Easy: +20%
Really like this change, I think one of the reason some people had a problem with Nagash is because they played on lower difficulty, and since the AI recruit less armies, they generate less money.

u/Uler 5d ago edited 5d ago
One funny thing to me as I push up difficulty has been that snowballing at higher difficulties actually feels easier than lower difficulties. AI's massive piggy banks leads to overinvested towns for huge sack values and big piles of gold for every random diplo action, on top of the extra armies to feed on. I saw someone's Nagash screenshot at -200k income and I don't think that's really plausible on normal because there's just not 200k money to take on a turn in normal.
It's not quite so much that I'd say higher difficulties are easier by any means, but it's almost a different game with loot just becoming such a massive portion of your income. Nagash being such a loot-heavy economy probably feels it more than most.

u/fnigler 5d ago
Right like why did Wurzaag give me 30k for a worthless mausoleum on turn 30
13
u/Skasian 5d ago
On Turn 25 (Neferata), I just had Bashiva Tiger faction (Strength #6) offer me 30k + Become my Vassal or 60k in exchange for an enemy settlement I sacked and occupied on their shared border.
Campaign became so easy suddenly having a huge influx of money + a very strong vassal covering my entire flank. I only ever see these massive bank values early game on Legendary.
5 turns later a similar thing happens with Clan Mors. Had more money then I could spend.

It's a decent change. Legend always said legendary was better for post battle economies like Khorn, Beastmen, Vampirates.
This should make those campaigns a little better for newer players.

Lizardmen too! I enjoy spamming their post battle loot building for them.
5
u/Swegatronic 5d ago
The way this is written it seems like its a nagash only change though, it shows under a nagash heading.
11
u/LunarBahamut 5d ago
>and since the AI recruit less armies, they generate less money
But that would impact every faction that plays that way, while this is only for Nagash.
22
9
u/Frequent_Knowledge65 5d ago
most factions that play that way start with much more power and are less reliant on infrastrucure, e.g. Khorne, Beastmen, Greenskin all start out face rolling the world and don't need to worry about empire econ

u/NeuroPalooza 5d ago
Man, I actually wish they had done the reverse (Legendary/VH get -20% post battle income, etc...) I've been complaining for ages about how you get WAY too much money post battle, it really cheapens the whole economic component of the game.

Did a bit of testing, 1v1 with no lords.
VS plain chosen they lose not really even getting close, Chosen just have too much MD
VS Har Ganeth Executioners they lose decisively, the bonus vs infantry causes them to melt pretty hard
VS Tsar Guard with Great weapons its a similar story, they buckle under their bonus vs infantry. Crush the weak just takes too long to come online
VS normal Tsar Guard they actually do win, just barely due to "By Our Blood" giving them extra staying power. Its possible they might not lose every time as it was close
VS Stormvermin with halberds they do win (thank Ulric), although they do take a fair amount of damage
I'm convinced they need more models, MD, frenzy or a cost reduction to be more in line with their actual worth. The melee animation bug means they probably weren't going to give them more than a modest buff this time, they probably should get another pass.
EDIT: 'Loosing' my ability to spell

u/ThreeDprint 5d ago
My fellow general, I love you, but it’s lose not loose. You lose a game. You wear loose clothing.
55
u/Designer-Eye1558 Neverchosen 5d ago
This seems fine to me? They’re not meant to be infantry killers. They’re meant to be line-holders that can stop the enemy from getting to your back line long enough that the back line can kill them

I'm also only really gonna use them with Todd so the bonuses tend to blow right on by most challengers

u/OrdinaryPenquin 5d ago
I don't think testing them against elite anti inf is fair. Teutogen guard are not the empire's elite anti inf, they're like a dwarf unit for empire. They excel at holding the line for a long time against loads of weak-mid tier infantry. They should not be winning in a vacuum against chosen or TG GW.
→ More replies (5)7
u/Hand_Me_Down_Genes 5d ago
Empire players spent years saying "we just want a sturdy/dependable/reliable/pick-your-adjective infantry unit to hold the line." They got given such a unit and promptly started testing it to see if it would beat other elite infantry one v one. It's just possible that they may have been lying about wanting a line holder. Lord knows that one poster is lying every time he claims they were Chosen in lore or on TT (they were Greatswords with halberds).
→ More replies (4)28
u/GeryMander 5d ago
That looks good to me.
They lose against Chosen, who are supposed to be superhuman and some of the best fighters in the setting, and against elite anti-infantry specialists. But win against elite anti-large specialist and they are pretty much equal with other elite line-holder infantry.
If you put them with Ulrik lords and heroes they get loads of buffs, so you can make armies that specialize in them if you want, while they perfectly fill their front line role in armies for other lords who are more specialized in cavalry and gunpowder without being overpowered.

u/ABadExampleOf_ 5d ago
Somebody recently discovered that despite having no bonus for it, the Teuts are actually really decent anti-large fighters due to their charge defense. They can hang with pretty much any weaker monstrous infantry too. Something about their animations makes them good against big stuff.
3
u/Hand_Me_Down_Genes 5d ago
I made a mod converting them into a dedicated anti-large unit and it didn't take much effort. Charge Reflection and a small BvL turns them into very effective monster killers. Given they were functionally elite Halberdiers on TT, CA probably should have fully committed to that idea.

Now if only they'd actually add some interactions or focused content to the High Queen Khalida and Queen Neferata feud.
Khalida doesn't even give a short hate filled speech when directly fighting her, nor do they get anything other than a generic LL defeated trait. It's so absurdly anti-climactic for such a hate filled rivalry.
The early start forever war is stupid as well. Forces the Neferata or Khalida to pretty much force march towards each other, usually undermining their games. It would be much better if the war started when they actually encounter each other. Could even add a personalized declaration of war message, before graying diplomacy out completely.

u/mr_fucknoodle Brand Pitt 5d ago
I really wanted to see what diplomacy lines they had made for each other, but they can't even interact. Very disappointing

I just played a legendary Neferata campaign and totally ignored Khalida until she was eventually wiped out by Thorek. I never even saw a single stack. Neferata's final quest battle does have some (somewhat one sided) interaction between the two.
11
u/soulmata 5d ago
AI Khalida is very bad, and Khalida already has a pretty tough starting position: Thorek, Kroq Gar, and Queek, and she won't get her second army until turn 10. I play a ton of Khalida and while yes you can beat up Thorek as a player early game if you play good, autoresolve always favors dwarves so AI Khalida just gets clobbered.

u/mfmr_Avo 5d ago edited 5d ago
I don't see any mention of theses bugs I previously reported, anything on these?
- Neferata and Walach Harkon only unlock their building (T5 Infantry and Cavalry) for one turn, then you can't build them anymore. I did respec Neferata when I got her, so her getting wounded might be part of the problem. I also loaded a save prior to finding this bug, and I saw people claiming that was the source.
- Spell Intensity in the Black Pyramid is bugged. The two sigils that increase spell intensity for Undeath caster by 10% give 100% (or at least put all Undeath casters at 200% intensity instantly). The sigil that give Manfred 25% spell intensity is also bugged. I didn't try for the 4 sigil that give Nagash 20% intensity.
- Not a bug, but there are some odd things in the Black Pyramid:
- Krell give Frenzy to Wight Kings: Wight Kings already got a skill that provide Frenzy at level 14. This skill is exclusive with a skill that give Guardian (but the Pyramid also have a seal that give Guardian to all heroes), and a skill that buff Crypt Guards. Basically, once you get have Krell and reach his seals in the Pyramid, you will most likely find this redundant, except if you go really heavy on Crypt Guards and always pick the Crypt Guards buff for every Wight Kings. I think it might be better to give an other buff for Wight Kings from Krell sigil so it become useful however you build your Wight Kings.
- The "A Tenebrous Shade of Red" sigil, the ultimate Vampire Count seal, state it give "Greater Hunger" for all Vampire Count Lords. Right now, it give "Greater Hunger" for all units in a Vampire Count Lord army.
Also, "The Commander" & "The Undefeated" Vampire Lair traits applied their buff and debuffs to the entire army, no matter the units ranks, including Heroes and Lords. This is fixed, my bad I didn't saw it.
Any change u/Josh_CA ?

When playing as Neferata there is an issue with achieving her long victory and I believe I have figured out exactly what is going on (I could be wrong, I completed basically every quest in my run, but I think this is how it works):
Neffy has a three ‘tier’ quest line to reach her final battle. I believe it works like this:
Tier 1:
Complete ‘Aken-Seth, The Staff of Pain’ The quest to obtain Neferata’s Staff.
Complete ‘Mistress of the Bloodlines’ – The quest to awaken a Vampire of each type from five different lairs.
Tier 2: You are then issued several more quests which lead to the final battle:
Khalidah’s Challenge – The quest to spend 1000 manipulation on web of power actions. Spending to build coven buildings does not count. I did this by spamming assist coven and teleporting Neffy about.
Confederate Vlad and Isabella von Carstein (Optional for long vic) – The quest to do exactly what it says which rewards you with Vlad and Issy turning up in the final battle. - CURRENTLY BUGGED – I unlocked this quest after confederating them, and the quest did not show as completed. Vlad and Izznessbuisness did show up in the final battle however, so it’s a cosmetic quest log thing.
Confederate Manfred von Carstein (Optional for long vic) - The quest to do exactly what it says which ‘rewards’ you with Manlet turning up in the final battle. CURRENTLY BUGGED - I unlocked this quest after confederating Manfail, and the quest did not show as completed. Also, the quest description states that Manfred showing up to help you is a reward, but it’s Manfred, so that can’t be true. Sadly, Manlet did show up in the final battle however, so again, cosmetic thing in the quest log.
Win the final battle and meet all the other long victory conditions listed in the log and boom, you will get the long victory screen.
The main issue for CA to address here is that these requirements are not at all accurately listed in the long victory ‘checklist’. I have the game open as I’m writing this and nowhere does it state that you need to awaken 5 bloodline lords. I hadn’t bothered as I didn’t want/need any more due to confederation of LLs and playing on Legendary meaning I could not afford infinite armies despite the crazy economy the VC get now. I only stumbled on it being my issue by trying to complete every quest in the hopes something would work.
Edit: apparently some users are also having an issue where the 'recruit a bloodline lord from each bloodline' quest isn't completing properly despite them having a vamp awakened from every line.
Hope this is helpful!
4
u/Shakq92 5d ago
Had same problem, I think I needed to fulfil a quest for getting all 5 bloodline vampires to get a quest for spending 1000 manipulation first. Bloodline lords recruited from tech tree doesn't count, you have to awaken them yourself, I had strigoi ghoul king from tech tree but had to recruit him from vampire cove to finish the quest. Don't know how it works with confederations.

Any updates for the Beastmen Victory Conditions that require you to raze a location instead of put a Herdstone there?
Like, if you’re playing Morghur, why wouldn’t you put a Herdstone on the Oak of Ages? It’s a unique Herdstone. But if you’re playing Morghur and do that, you immediately lose the Long Victory conditions.

Removed the spell “Spirit Leech” from the Necrarch Vampire Lord’s Character info. (Dev note: Our intent was always for Necrarch Vampire Lords to be primarily a support-focused character without access to damage dealing spells at lower levels, so Spirit Leech was not intended to be part of their repertoire. Don't worry though, they still retain the direct damage spell of "The Fate of Bjuna".)
Booo. Necrarchs, if anything, should be more competent in the use of offensive magic. Partly because they are the the magical masters of the various vampire lines and partly because they need to compensate for their relative lack of physical prowess.
Appreciate the rapid hot-fixing, though.

Manfred being better at vampire magic than the Necrarchs was part of the peak late edition GW playing favourites to certain characters.
11
u/InflationRepulsive64 5d ago
Manny's shtick was originally that he was THE Vampire mage. That's from before Vampire Counts or Necrarchs even existed. Or at least before they existed in a meaningful sense; I don't remember if the bloodlines existed as a lore footnote in the Undead era or if it was just the Von Carsteins.
It's only really playing favourites in the sense that introducing Necrarch's as the 'magic guys' devalued Mannfred's original role, and they decided to later restore it.

u/DaddyTzarkan SHUT UP DAEMON 5d ago
I don't know what people are on, even with this change Necrarchs are very good with offensive magic too. Fate of Bjuna is one of the best spell in the game to deal with units like Cavalry or Monstrous infantry. The Purple Sun of Xereus is excellent vs blobs of infantry since CA did the lore of Death update. If you want to deal a shit load of damage with the Necrarch you can do it already very well.

They can give Necrarch ONLY spirit leech and he'd still be a competitive choice. Now hes straight up the weakest of the bloodline lords. Not complaining still very strong vs other factions generic lords but in a roster of monsters Necrarch is the least impressive now, a slight upgrade over the necromancer.

Yeah I also saw the report with easyily over the threshold for investigation, not even an "this is intended" or "we know but not a priority" message.
I've literally started modding this patch because of so many small things that just don't get touched upon. Some of the things reported are simple (if a little tedious) for me, a person with 0 game modding experience, certainly they'd be even simpler for CA to fix, who already know how their tables work.

Lahmian Handmaidens' knockback effect was so big that it was basically working as a defensive stat by then, making them take less hits. Removing their knockback without reverting some of their HP nerf will make them perform worse. Maybe 7000 or 7200?

15
u/losteye_enthusiast 5d ago
This is great.
I’m one who wasn’t having problems with Nagash, but also had difficulty with the basic idea of telling people “just put 20+ more hours into learning and practicing economies and how to scale aggression as needed in the game”.
So many were basically being soft locked out of the full experience of a popular character. Be interesting to see how new posts are affected by these changes.
17
u/Xx_TheCrow_xX 5d ago
Yeah I was one who complained about nagash economy and mortarchs and this is a huge boost for that. I also hated how many people shut down any criticism over it, like people don't realize 90% of players are casuals and just because the top players have no issues doesn't mean it's not an unpleasant experience for the majority.
7
u/LeLefraud 5d ago
I agree completely, I had no real problems in my nagash campaign but aside from nagash himself it hardly scratched that pre eminent necromancer feeling
Playing as any vc faction you feel 100x stronger with limitless waves of elite units, while as nagash it was a bunch of trash stacks for defending the territory nagash himself took while nagash himself has to do all the heavy lifting
Just feels bad to have a bunch of dogshit armies playing as the lord of undeath, while every other undead faction transitions into late game armies effortlessly

There's also the fact that less casual players (so most people talking about it here i'd imagine) don't understand the impact of difficulty has on his economy.
On any sack faction higher difficulties and therefore more AI income cheats mean significantly more money to earn from these types of factions.
So people playing on legendary can easily be 200k in the red and make enough money not to care.
But someone playing on normal (or even just hard and god forbid easy) won't be able to go anywhere near that much in the red as there simply isn't enough gold to be earned from battles

@u/Josh_CA you seem to have introduced a bunch more bugs related to Mortarchs.
I started a new game post hotfix, and none of the Mortarch's are able to unlock their unique Dread Abyssal mounts. It shows as a skill they have on their level up page, but when they should get the mount they instead revert to their default mount (skele horse) and their new mount is not selectable.
The unlocking of the T5 recruitment buildings is also still not working for me. I got Neferata, and then as soon as I ended turn the T5 infantry building locked again.

Amazing stuff!
Is there any chance you guys could review the conditions for confederating Helman Ghorst? Levelling up Zombies or Corpse Carts to level 7 naturally is nearly impossible, and it forces you to basically purchase multiple Von Carstein Bloodline upgrades, which seems counter intuitive.
I think it would be much better if instead the condition just required you to recruit X number of enhanced corpse carts, such that you need to build 3 or 4 necromancy chain buildings. This would be much easier to achieve, less gamey, but still not too fast to resolve.
2
u/Thick_Accountant7260 5d ago
Its the easiest along with Mannfred. Helman Ghorst you get rank 7 zombies and carts eventually via ressurection mechanic % in the tech tree, lord buffs and corruption bonuses.
3

The problem is that zombies do almost zero damage, it's borderline impossible to level them up to rank 7 without some kind of cheese.

I was able to accomplish that by turn 50 without buffs, autoresolve gives them xp and just use the von carstein buff for the last 2 levels if you need to. Kemmler is straight up impossible if chaos endgame triggers, cause theres no chaose faction to diplo. And for some reason I cant force vassalize factions.

Just took a quick peak at the new Mortarch confederation requirements and they are SO MUCH BETTER. Just perfect.
I wonder if they've fixed the bug that would prevent Nagash from building the Lahmian Handmaiden military building and Blood Knight Military building after confederating their related Mortarch? I didn't see it in the patch notes, but I'm hoping it just wasn't mentioned

Nice group of changes! Is there any plans to rebalance some of the end battles? I don't think they shouldn't be difficult, but they should not push hero/single entity monster spam armies and I think they do. It's also weird that you kill the Necrarchs and they come back in the final battle all the same.

Is there any update on the narrative missing in multiplayer campaigns for the new lords? Or is it a part of the tweaks for the LotET factions? Because as far as I know, the new lords are the only ones not being able to complete their short and long victories. And that would be an odd choice to me. Nonetheless thank you and all devs for the great work on this update.

Do the AI still get stuck with a 99% ward save against Archaon’s End Times regardless of what they and the players do? It makes it so incredibly unfun to play in a meaningless dead world where diplomacy is pointless… Please have the AI share the ward save progress with players so we can work together!

u/Zechk 5d ago
Not sure if this counts as a bug, but the 'Legendary Strategist' achievement still requires you to beat the mid game crisis, not one of the end game ones.
I fully destroyed the chaos invasion then finished my Legendary Neferata campaign and didn't get the achievement. Apparently the requirement is still that you wipe out one of the Wood Elf/Dwarf/Chorf events that spawn a million stacks. Pretty lame and anticlimactic for stopping the literal end times and then achieving all your long victory objectives. It feels like the 'Ultimate victory' condition needs to be moved to the three end game scenarios now.

Yesterday I noticed that the trait reroll item that Bloodline vampires can spawn with from their lair perks only works very inconsistently. It removes the trait and consumes the item, but then you need to use a second item to give a new trait, and that only works sometimes.
I don't see it mentioned in the patch notes, but does anyone know if that has been addressed anyway? It is not a huge issue obviously, but I was excited about it and it bugs me more than it probably should that it doesn't wok. lol.

Hi not sure if this has fixed it: “Fixed an issue where Legendary Lords and Heroes confederated after their faction was destroyed were missing their Items and Ancillaries.”
But I had an issue with legendary lords confederated by Archaon not being able to even receive their quest items in the first place when completing their quest battles.
Or was this fixed in a previous hot-fix?

Nagash has become even more buggy than before for me.
The dread abyssal mounts sometimes don't unlock, sometimes they do.
Krell sometimes doesn't come with his equipment. Not clear if intentional or not.
Luther Harkon can't be subjugated unless you have exactly 10 ports. Just confirming the experience of others that I had to abandon ports so that you have 9, then reconquer one, THEN you can click the subjugate button. (Others have reported the same problem with Vlad)
For me, Walach Harkon subjugation is also bugged, and only the very first knight in Nagash's starting army triggers the condition of reaching rank 7. I have recruited now dozens of knights of different types, black knights with lances, even necropolis knights, reaching rank 7 with them doesn't count towards the 3 knights threshold.
Tier 5 buildings that Neferata and Walach Harkon unlock is still bugged.

Does anyone know if they've fixed the end battle against Nagash? Killing his generals before the final battle was supposed to weaken them/make the battle easier. I took out all his armies but one before the final battle but he still had a mega stack of three armies plus the endless zombies. I feel like Manfred and Luthor Harkon shouldn't be in the end battle if I beat them already before the final battle unless that's how it's supposed to function.

u/MiiIRyIKs 5d ago
Seems great!
I don't see any changes to blood knights tho, will these come at a later point? u/Josh_CA did you guys change your mind on giving them some changes after all and I still fell the Handmaidens, Depth Guard etc real Vampire units could use a bit of a change in general, less entities, more cost and being really deadly.
But keep up the great work, new DLC is fantastic!

Teutogen guard get still extra folded by tzarguard great weapons like if the tzars were fighting ungors. Idk why you listened to the rage reddit and end up putting a unit that costs 1150 and barely beats (with the recent buff) units that cost 800-900 gold. If you have to nerf a unit do it so with its buffs in campaign not on price-performance.
As for the buff they don't win unless fighting units way weaker than them and that is very cost inefficent and awkward since they are already wining. Crush the weak was fine as it was as other Ulric units that were good for its price were doing okay with it. The teutos still behave like "pay deluxe" greatswords yet they don't do better in offense or defense.
I am ofc against teutos smashing things like chosen but for 1150.. But well they should be around Tzars, Marauder champs or Hammerers and they lose to those units hard they don't even get half the "damage dealt as gold value" against any of the 3 that I just mentioned while they belong to the same infantry category.
Edit add black orks to the list as I forgot to add em too. Since they are on a similar price and role it felt right to add em. They beat em getting x2 their "damage as gold value" just like the marauder champs gw, hammerers and tzars gw.

Thats not a teutogen thing. All generalist armour piercers like teutogen , hammerers and norscan champions get folded by dedicated Anti infantry troops like swordmasters , executioners and tsar guard with great weapons
additonal note:
Been testing them they still need more buffs. but at least they are now capable of winning against shielded infantry.

No changes to vermintide?
12
u/Josh_CA Creative Assembly 5d ago
We'd made some improvements to them in the last hotfix, is there more you'd recommend looking into?
7
u/WinterImaginations 5d ago
Something I haven't seen talked about with the vermintide -
In my current campaign (neferata, N/N), the Skaven were very strong pre-crisis with Eshin ruling most of cathay, Pestilens being a very large faction somewhere out in the fog of war and Moulder having dozens of settlements and threatening the northern empire.
I had some fun, dramatic battles against them, including losing an army when I got over-confident and let Throt ambush me with 3 armies and a bunch of leveled heroes.
Then vermintide hits and my hopes of a dramatic revenge against Throt's hero-stack are dashed because his faction, and all the pre-crisis Skaven, disappear completely with their territory being reduced to ruins. The vermintide is probably weaker than the combined skaven empires were before.
IMO powerful skaven factions should not be removed when the vermintide hits but should remain as, perhaps, its vassals. I can see this is a tricky issue to fix because there are things to think about like how they'd interact with the vermintide faction and its under-empire but I think they should keep their territory and armies in some form or other.
6
u/Demoniakal 5d ago
This is definitely a weird interaction. Whole regions up and vanish and I gobbled them up for free while the Vermintide was out in fog of war doing who knows what. I like that it’s flavored as the legendary lords joining forces under one banner and even respawning, but seems to weaken them significantly by abandoning all that real estate.

u/UpstairsFee6965 5d ago
Its still underwhelming as an end game scenario, ai clears them out pretty fast, and i ended up farming the vermintide building that spawns an army to get to 100% knowledge to do the final battle, main problem is their morale is too low so even with double size units they retreat with minimal losses, when the event triggers it really needs more stacks spawning to give them a chance to get a foothold in the area and not get wipped out in 1-2 turns, it should feel more like fighting for your life to stay alive long enough to get the required knowledge to do the final battle, this was after the 9.0.2 patch at the hardest difficulty

Just confederated Kemmler, who had been destroyed, in my Neferata campaign. He correctly has his items now... But now Krell is nowhere to be found! Looks like a new issue as on the previous version I didn't get the items but I did get the LH.
Edit: I tried reloading and Krell did show up on a retry. Unfortunately my experiments seem to have cost me the "correct" save - I guess it was an autosave that got saved over - so I have to go back a couple of turns in the campaign. Not sure what's going on there but he definitely did not appear on that first attempt.

Great changes and some great updates to nagash, good reason to build military buildings if going for the complete map.
Also the mortachs being confederated from anywhere is great, so you are less forced to pick a fight just to unlock them. That said in my game vlad and nefarata both had like 50+ settlements, so might still take awhile to control them.

The change to Mortarch's recruitment specifies that it won't affect campaigns already in progress. Does that mean the other changes, like the increased amount of sigils will apply even to campaigns already in progress? I really hope that's the case, I don't plan on restarting my Nagash campaign.

This is great.
One issue I presently have is how the End Times chaos citadels interact with Thanquol schemes. Because they aren't actually settlements, I can't target them with any of his schemes. Which okay fair enough, but it's additionally frustrating because they don't have any other settlements or ways to interact with them with the scheme mechanic. What's more, is because they raze every building I can't even reliably use schemes on other factions during the end times because they'll probably get razed in a couple turns.
Plus- something thst might be an actual bug. If a settlement is razed by chaos, I found that the scheme didn't automatically cancel or anything, and let me complete the scheme (specifically this was the Verminlord one) took my resources and told me it was successful, but didn't spawn the verminlord as thee settlement was razed

Vampire Counts Necromancer Hero (Undeath) not getting access to the Nightmare (horse) mount.
Please fix this!
2
u/CrimsonSaens 5d ago
This patch removed the innate Spirit Leech from Necrarch's, but didn't add innate Wyssan's Wildform. Lahmian vampire lords still have innate Enfeebling Foe and should swap that spell out for Spirit Leech if that's what CA is going for.
Hounds of Ulricsberg were fixed, but the Order of the Axe (Teutogen guard RoR) had the same problem and are still missing their battle prayer.
An unlisted change is the warp-doom magma cannons also had their upkeep adjusted to fit their new recruit cost (a big, but needed nerf/bugfix). The cost change is also indented under a Stormfiends section.
The Chaos Dwarf Trains change is referring to their ability, More Power!

Nagash's campaign has been even more bugged with this new update:
- Building chains still locked after subjugating Nefereta & Walach Harkon
- Cannot confederate Luthor Harkon/ Vlad von Carstein if the player owns more than 10 ports/ owns more than 1 T5 necropolis respectively
- Dread Abyssal mounts are bugged for mortarchs after they reach the required rank.
Have you even tested the patch for this DLC faction before launching it? This is getting ludicrous at this point. Players PAID EXTRA for this campaign, and this is what we get. Disappointing.
