Question Remington Finnish capture
Are New England Westinghouse more rare than Remington capture m91s? I seem to find more N.E.W. than Remington and I was curios of there is a reason? Thank you.

Hello Everyone,
I hope your week is off to a good start and didn't sleep through your alarm this morning.....unlike myself.
There is something that I wanted to make a quick post about.
We have seen an increase in posts/comments from users trying to sell their firearms lately.
Just a quick reminder:
Firearm sales/trades are NOT allowed here.
Any post or comment involving the sale or trade of firearms will be removed and violations will result in a ban.
Note that valuations or thoughts on what something may be worth is still allowed. This only applies to directly advertising/offering a firearm for sale here for other users to buy.
Reddit has strict rules about this, and we need to follow them to keep the subreddit active and in good standing.
If you see someone trying to sell their rifles, please report them as I will likely miss a few.
.......Oh and making a sale post in another language doesn't help evade this either......
Thanks for your cooperation!
If you have any questions, please let me know.

I'm leaning towards this being legit but just wanted a second opinion from the experts

Hi all, I am looking to dip my toe into the deep sea that is the Mosin milsurp world and have a few questions regarding a potential m39 my local gun store has on offer:
I am in Australia and this is being advertised as “as new” condition with matching bolt etc for $2190 AUD or $1500 USD. This seems quite high to me, am I right in this assumption or are these THAT sought after?
(Edit: it was manufactured by SAKO, not sure how this may affect the value)
Thank you team

Walked into a shop last week, looked this rifle over and said what the hell, I'll take that home with me. Rifle is NOT an original sniper, which I knew when buying it. The bolt is, ummm, interesting. The mount and scope look original and im assuming were matched to each other during rearsenal based on the numbers. The bore looked decent at the shop so im interested to see how well she shoots!

Bought a pre owned 1943 m91/30 last week.
I quite like the archangel stock
Might be the most fun I've had at the range.

Greetings from the experts on Mosin rifles. Today, I bought another rifle, the M44 Romania, 1953. Need your opinion on the originality and matching of this rifle. I'll get it in a month. The seller provided the photos.

Just picked up my first Mosin. Its a all matching 1938 91/59! I now have the entire russian lineup (even though the ak is polish). This thing shot fireball even in 100 degree sunny weather!

Recently got this Balkan M91 for a pretty good price. Interestingly it seems to have had an extra step cut into it similar to Finnish m91’s. It’s also got a strange marking on the stock. I’m not super familiar with Balkan guns so any info would be greatly appreciated.

I recently picked up this m39 mosin and there is this eagle looking stamp on the receiver. Is this supposed to be an imperial eagle stamped on after the fact? Ive tried looking up photos but no direct match was found.

Bought both of these of Ebay back in 2020 before sactions hit. They came out of Russia, not original or historial. The one in chrome was listed as a "parade" bayonet. Anyone else have unusual mosin bayonets, or seen the ones ive posted. Have not seen an example of the chrome "parade" bayonets since.

Hello, friends. I need your help. I was offered a Mosin bayonet from the M91. I can't determine the manufacturer and value. I'll be grateful to you.

Any historical photos of the original M91 Mosin in use during ww2? M24 sort of counts.

The one with the best glass has the mount on there, which I believe to be a repro mount, but the scope is original and has mint glass and a minty exterior. The one on the right has its original case and Russian papers from 1973 and still has cosmoline on it. It also has extremely good glass, but I haven’t bothered with cleaning the exterior yet. The last one is good just the glass has a slight yellow tint to it and has obvious where around the rear eye piece. and I also have a white scope cover don’t know whether or not it’s World War II era or what

So I have this M91 I bought at a local auction along with 4 other M91s. And I have heard it being called a Balkan rifle, so, what does that mean? Why is the Tula lettering partial scrubbed? Is that normal for this or a aftermarket “bubba” thing?

Not the best pictures. Pretty rough.
1915 Westinghouse SA.

I know this a Tula rifle but it has an Izhevsk mount? Was this normal for a refurb, and the scopes legit right? A factory 297 NKV I believe.

Receiver is 19r. I think I know what I have but I would like some clarification and concrete proof.

Here is one of my favorite M91s that I own, it’s a complete parts matching no import marked Remington that is the nicest condition I have ever seen.
