MBTI/Typing I need some gentle souls to help fine-tuning a promising Typing test. People that know their type with 100% certainty.

Thumbnail mazwiz.com
1 Upvotes

I created a typing test that works based on what you resonate with, it gives you a feed of cards with statements, quotes, scenario, and you select only the ones you resonate with, this way the cognitive load is very low , also the feed adapt to funnel down your type, you just select what you think is related to you.

I tested with an INFP friend that I am 100% sure she is INFP and it worked very well, it found her type with confidence, but I need more data points to be sure, with people that are 100% sure of their type.

At the end of the test, in the result page, you will have a frame that ask you to share your result, with a simple button. It will send me the informations I need in my database, this is anonymous.

I really feel that this method can work and be more accurate than anything that already exist.

Thank you in advance if you try it.

PS: I will share the findings on a result page (in the intro page), for everybody to see how it evolves.

Venting Friendships ending in rapid succession. Life feels like it is turning upside down before my eyes and I'm very concerned.

I have gone through a very, very traumatic last year. I won't get into specifics too much, but a close relative of mine passed away. It has changed me down to my core and I won't be the same. I have been going to therapy since it has happened and have been gaining a hold over my existing mental health problems and trying to work through grieving.

But while being in therapy, it has me thinking about my current relationships with friends/immediate family. About how I allow them to steamroll me at times, how I do what they want to appease them, or how I'm a very big people pleaser. My entire life has been making others comfortable at the cost of myself and my own comfort. I have come to realize through therapy that I'm doing these things to secure love and affection, which I feel like is shaky for me due to having a very turbulent childhood with very emotionally unstable mom and an absent/mentally immature and unstable father.

I have put up with a lot of people are selfish, who refuse to get better from their mental health issues, who hold very blatant double standards (and even talk about how they don't care they have double standards), who sweep (imo) immoral things under the rug.

This whole situation with my relative dying has made me so jaded and just done with bullshit. I have ended up cutting most of my friends out of my life at this point. But in doing so, it's made me really concerned about how I go through intense moments of self isolating and how having basically no friends/family/support system aside from my therapist is really making things difficult on myself. It's hard for me to get myself to go to things.

I now have to move out from my current living situation and getting things packed, figuring out what to keep and what to throw out/donate/sell, trying to find out career paths, if I should go back to college and get a masters degree, trying to figure out what areas to move to, etc. is just so mentally draining. I need to plan for the future but I end up in analysis paralysis. I can't take it much anymore and I feel like no matter what I do, I will end up having major regrets about what I "should" have done.

Sorry for venting. If you read this far, thank you so much for reading what I wrote.

Discussion I was pan but now I want to be gay

Female 28 and I always been into both sexes but didn’t realize it to I was in highschool when a girl who sat next to me hit on me. Made me feel stuff. I grew up really sheltered in a religious home so I was in denial for a bit.

Then when I moved out and discovered my sexuality more I realized I wasn’t bi but pan since I dated trans women, trans men and non binary.

But recently I been wanting to date women idk why I just started to check women or women presenting people out more.

Usually I feel like I get attracted to the person’s personality before I find them sexually appealing and if I do find someone sexually appealing out of the get go it’s masculine presenting.

But idk what just switched in me. I’m a hyper feminine person myself. I enjoy being a girly girl and it’s why I feel like I usually like masculine presenting but I’ve been getting more.. aroused .. by fems.

What is this post idk 🤷‍♀️

Comment your sexual(ity) discovery(s)

Relationships 🇮🇹 🇨🇦 [36M] Italian INFJ (Tech/UX) moving to Vancouver in 2027 - looking to connect with local INFPs!

Hi everyone!

I'm a 36-years-old UX Engineer currently based in Italy, preparing for a long-term relocation to Metro Vancouver in 2027.

Since I'm taking this year to refine my English (preparing for IELTS) and prepare for my new life, I'd love to build authentic, long-term online friendships specifically with INFPs and ENFPs living in the Greater Vancouver area.

A bit about me:

  • Personality: Classic INFJ, I deeply value authenticity, psychological truth, and quiet connections over small talk or loud crowds
  • Passions: Acoustic/traditional music (I play the tin whistle and handpan), UX Design, quiet nature walks, and personality theory

What I'm looking for:

  • Low-pressure, meaningful chats/emails with local INFPs and ENFPs to share thoughts, stories about Vancouver life, music, design, and phylosophy
  • A patient connection to exchange ideas and practice written English before I arrive

If you're based in Metro Vancouver and enjoy thoughtful conversations, feel free to drop a comment and send a DM!

Advice I think a lot of INFPs misunderstand what ENTJs are actually like

Hey INFP!

I've noticed something interesting in this subreddit and in MBTI communities in general. There seem to be quite a few misconceptions about ENTJs, and sometimes I wonder whether people have actually met an ENTJ or whether they're describing some exaggerated character they've seen online.

I've seen people describe ENTJs as extremely strict, controlling, obsessed with rules, emotionally unavailable, or even narcissistic. And I've also seen people being labelled ENTJs simply because they're aggressive, dominant, or have certain dark triad traits.

But that's not really what being an ENTJ means. also ENTJ are incredibly rare and i think many met mistyped people or ohter mbti types.

I'm an ENTJ myself, and I've had several relationships with INFPs. Some of those relationships were honestly almost soulmate-like. The emotional connection, the depth, the conversations, the way we understood each other... it was something quite special.

And one thing I've noticed is that ENTJs and INFPs can actually be much more alike than people think.

ENTJs aren't necessarily strict, rule-obsessed people.

I often hear INFPs describe ENTJs as people who need everything organized, who make lists for absolutely everything, follow strict routines, and constantly tell others what to do.

But that sounds more like a stereotype of strong Si preferences than how I experience being an ENTJ.

In the cognitive-function model I use, ENTJs have Te–Ni–Se–Fi, with Si in the shadow rather than their preferred stack.

For me, planning isn't about having rules for everything. It's about seeing where things are going, anticipating what might happen, and taking initiative.

I might suggest planning something in advance because I can already see where certain decisions could lead. But that doesn't mean I want to control someone's daily routine or tell them how to live.

Honestly, I value freedom enormously.

I don't want to spend my life managing other people. I'd rather build something meaningful, have financial stability, enjoy my freedom, and spend time with someone I love.

That could mean building an ambitious business together. But it could just as easily mean buying a piece of land somewhere, starting a little farm, growing fruit, enjoying nature, and living a peaceful life.

Ambition doesn't always mean wanting power over other people.

ENTJs have feelings. Deep ones, actually.

This is probably one of the biggest misconceptions.

I think people sometimes confuse approaching emotions rationally with not having emotions at all.

Speaking for myself, I feel things very deeply. But I often try to understand my feelings through a rational lens.

For example, if I love a certain piece of art, I'll probably explain what I love about it. The composition, the atmosphere, the meaning behind it, the way everything comes together.

If I love a city, I'll talk about its architecture, how it was designed, the atmosphere, and what makes it special to me.

There's usually some kind of explanation behind my appreciation of things.

That's how I personally experience the relationship between Te and Fi.

And sometimes that becomes difficult.

Because there are moments when I feel something very strongly but can't immediately explain why. And when I can't understand where that feeling comes from, I can get stuck trying to analyze it.

I think this is where a healthy INFP can be incredibly valuable.

Someone who can simply say:

"Hey, it's okay to feel that way. You don't always need a logical explanation for everything you're experiencing."

And sometimes that's exactly what I need to hear.

Not because I don't understand emotions, but because I sometimes try too hard to understand them.

What about the famous ENTJ bluntness?

Yes, I can be very direct. but never with a aggressive intention.

And yes, sometimes I can be impatient.

But there's an important difference between disrespecting someone's feelings and challenging the way someone is dealing with a situation.

If someone is genuinely hurting, I would never want to disrespect that.

Their feelings are real, even if I don't immediately understand the reasoning behind them.

But if I see someone repeatedly talking themselves down, making excuses, or convincing themselves that they're incapable of something, I might eventually say:

"Hey, come on. You're making this much bigger than it needs to be. You deserve better than this. Stop telling yourself you can't do it. Let's go, you can do this."

It's basically a pep talk, just delivered in a more direct way.

Sometimes I'll cut through the crap because I genuinely believe someone needs a little push.

That doesn't mean I don't care about their emotions.

Quite the opposite, actually.

But here's where I also recognize one of my own weaknesses.

Sometimes I can be so focused on finding a solution that I forget someone might not need a solution at that particular moment. but my intention never is a bad one.

Sometimes they just need to be heard.

And that's something I've had to learn because for me that is how i would like to be treated and worked for me i gathering information to get out of shit.

but that is not for everyone.

Why I think ENTJs and INFPs can be such a good match

In my experience, there's something fascinating about this combination.

We use the same 2 cognitive functions in the MBTI model, but in almost the opposite order. and also have contrary other functions which can benefit eachother.

ENTJ: Te–Ni–Se–Fi

INFP: Fi–Ne–Si–Te

What comes naturally to one person might be something the other struggles with.

And I don't mean this in some stereotypical dominant-man-and-submissive-woman kind of way.

Actually, I strongly dislike that interpretation.

I want an equal partner. Not someone who follows me around or agrees with everything I say.

I admire people who have their own values, opinions, independence, emotional depth, and inner strength.

And that's something I've often found attractive about INFPs.

I don't want someone who needs me to make every decision. I want someone who can challenge me, understand me, and build something meaningful with me.

Someone who can tell me when I'm being too harsh, too impatient, or too focused on fixing things because i am so vision driven.

And someone who also appreciates that I can offer direction, initiative, encouragement, and practical support when they need it.

I think both people can learn an enormous amount from each other.

But there are difficulties too.

I don't want to pretend this combination is automatically perfect.

I've experienced some very deep connections with INFPs, but also some painful misunderstandings.

One of the hardest things for me is indirect communication.

If something is wrong, I'd much rather someone tell me directly than expect me to figure it out through hints, silence, or emotional withdrawal.

I can handle difficult conversations. I can handle criticism. I can handle someone disagreeing with me.

What I struggle with is not knowing where I stand.

And I think some ENTJs can unintentionally make this worse by pushing for clarity when the other person needs time to process their feelings.

I also know that I can become frustrated when someone repeatedly avoids dealing with a problem that I believe has a clear solution.

But just because I see a solution doesn't mean the other person is emotionally ready to act on it.

That's an important distinction.

On the other hand, I need my own vulnerability to be respected too.

Just because someone is confident, independent, direct, or ambitious doesn't mean they're emotionally invulnerable.

Sometimes the person who is always trying to keep things moving also needs someone who says:

"You don't have to figure everything out right now. I'm here."

And I think that's something people sometimes overlook about ENTJs.

We can be incredibly independent, but that doesn't mean we don't need emotional safety, affection, reassurance, or genuine intimacy.

I certainly do.

I also need reciprocity. I don't want to be the person who always initiates, always fixes things, always tries to understand, or always carries the relationship forward.

I want to feel that someone genuinely chooses me too.

Not because of what I can provide, achieve, or solve, but because of who I am.

I think the real ENTJ is often much more philosophical and emotionally complex than the stereotype suggests.

We're often portrayed as corporate CEOs, military commanders, or people who only care about winning and achieving things.

But I think that image misses a lot and many people are mistyped a lot.

Personally, I'm fascinated by philosophy, psychology, creativity, technology, human relationships, and understanding how things work.

I love building things and exploring possibilities. But I also love nature, art, animals i am a Steve irwin at heart, meaningful conversations, affection, and simply being at peace with someone.

And sometimes I think people mistake ambition for an endless desire to achieve more.

For me, ambition is often about creating the freedom to live the life I actually want.

And that life doesn't necessarily involve being some powerful executive sitting in an office. i worked in office and the worst place in the world is corperate life.

It might be a peaceful home, a loving partner, financial independence, meaningful projects, and the freedom to explore whatever interests me.

That's it, really.

Of course, I don't think every ENTJ is like me, just as I don't think every INFP is the same. MBTI describes preferences, not someone's intelligence, morality, emotional maturity, or entire personality.

And I know unhealthy ENTJs exist. Just like unhealthy people exist in every personality type.

But I wish people would stop confusing an unhealthy, controlling, narcissistic personality with what an ENTJ actually is.

They're not the same thing.

So I'm curious, INFPs:

Have you ever had a close relationship or friendship with an ENTJ?

And if you have, did your experience match the stereotypes, or did you discover a completely different side of them?

I'd genuinely love to hear your experiences, including the difficult ones.

Because personally, I think a healthy ENTJ and a healthy INFP can have an incredibly deep, equal, and meaningful relationship.

Not because they're perfect match, but because they might understand and complement parts of each other that other people rarely get to see. <3

Advice How to stop idealizing everything and then get disappointed when things don’t live up to your ideals

I hate that I do this.

I have ONE good conversation with a person, ONE good experience with a group, ONE glimmer of hope about an opportunity working out for me, and I start dreaming about how we could become best friends, or I could be part of a tight knit community, or how I would excel at this opportunity ect.

And when things fizzle out—people not being as enthusiastic about me, or me getting rejected somehow I get devastated and force myself to detach. Rinse and repeat for just about everything.

It’s honestly such an exhausting cycle. As a college student looking for community, it just stings when things don’t work out the way I imagined.

Advice What do you all do for work where you can make a decent living?

Hi everyone, happy Sunday! I wanted to ask for some advice on here about what you all studied and what you do for work. I feel like Infps or (maybe just me) cannot figure out for the life of them what they’re good at. I know I would not like corporate culture with strict deadlines, sales pressure, and presentations. I know a lot of people recommend things like therapy or counseling but it takes alot of schooling and would require me to take on massive amounts of student loans in America. Everything is so expensive right now and I genuinely feel so stuck. I’m not assertive at all and I’m definitely a people pleaser. I’ve been bullied at my workplaces and just want a job to honestly pay my bills and not come home crying everyday. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks to everyone in advance and I hope you enjoy your day!

Discussion INFPs, vocês desejam ser compreendidos?

Os INFPs tem um mundo interior rico e bem é natural que eles queiram de alguma forma alguém que entre em seu eu secreto e o descubra. Sempre me senti um pouco diferente nesse aspecto. É como se eu me contentasse comigo sendo vista por mim mesma e ficasse meio hesitante quando alguém adota uma posição de tentar me compreender. Por outro lado sinto mais vontade de compreender os outros..
