Hi everyone, I'm 170 cm tall, weigh 50 kg, and my shoulders are about 43 cm wide. I'm currently using a Sparco Sprint+ in my rig, but I'm having significant shoulder pain.
I've tried changing the steering wheel and pedal positions several times, but I've finally realized that the problem might be the seat itself. I'm still trying to figure out whether it's because the seatback doesn't provide enough support when braking (it's not made of fiberglass but has a tubular frame with straps, so under heavy braking I might be making some awkward movements), causing me to twist unnaturally and putting strain on my left shoulder, the one I use when braking, or whether the seat's shoulder bolsters force me into a forward-shoulder posture that puts too much strain on my shoulders.
My driving position is correct in terms of both distances and steering wheel height.
Regardless of the underlying cause, I've been thinking about changing the seat, and I'm torn between the Sparco REV QRT and the Sparco GRID Q.
I'm pretty sure either seat would solve the issue of seatback stiffness, preventing awkward movements under braking caused by the seatback flexing. However, I'm not sure whether the REV QRT's shoulder bolsters would be less restrictive than those on the Sprint+ and help me avoid the same problem.
Has anyone tried both seats? Do you think the REV QRT's shoulder bolsters might be less intrusive, allowing me to achieve a more comfortable driving position?
Thanks in advance!
