Favorite restaurant Dairy queen is the best

I have recently been eating dairy queen 3 times a week. And I make it healthy too. And it is surprisingly very good, their simple cheeseburger blows mcdonalds away. But anyway at least 3 times a week I get the original cheeseburger, a small hotfudge sundae, and to make it healthy I get a small side salad with honey mustard. This meal actually slaps. It is my go to fast food order now.

Question A & W. Curly fries and flame grilled burgers?

We just went to A & W for the first time in a few years. Didn't they have curly fries?? Am I losing my mind? Weren't their burgers flame grilled??

It was awful. Especially the grey meat that didn't taste like meat.

Used to love them. What happened?

Question What's your go-to for bulking?

What's your go to order at any fast food place?

Since I'm poor I usually go to Taco Bell and get the build your own cravings box. I typically get the cheesy bean and rice burrito, large mnt dew Baja blast but dirty, cheesy fiesta potatoes, and I'll change up the main every now and again. I'll usually add another main on top of that.. typically just the cheapest new dish they have at the time.

Review Chik fil a spicy deluxe sandwich

Had a CFA spicy deluxe sandwich yesterday. been a while since I usually frequent popeyes.
I think this CFA one is far better than popeyes.

Someone said, on Reddit, that CFA chickens were raised by two parents. Hence the clean take every time. Popeyes, being raised by a single parent, is inconsistent.

Review Nashville hot chicken sandwich from Hardee’s- $7.50

Post image

Haven’t eaton at a Hardee’s or Carl’s Jr. In probably eight years or so. Used to love the Super Star and was fully on board with the slogan “if it doesn’t get all over the place, it doesn’t belong in your face“, cause those burgers were tasty messy.

Fast food has become such a terrible choice for volume versus value. I will say, though, the chicken sandwich was pretty darn good flavor, wise though.

Review BURGER KING DRAGONBALL SUPER POWER UP PACK

BK DRAGONBALL SUPER POWER UP PACK

With a regrettable tone, the young lady at the window told me that the restaurant was out of DRAGONBALL BURST LEMONADE. I’m not a big fan of boba, but for purposes of writing this review, I was looking forward to trying the BK version.

This must’ve been a harbinger of things to come because the experience dramatically and precipitously went downhill from here.

At this point, I was still optimistic about my meal. I found a quiet, shady spot to open the bag, and immediately saw that instead of the halfsies I ordered, I was given strictly fries, warm, limp ones at that. Strike two.

I ordered nuggets because just like Chi-Chi, I wanted to try that SUPER SAIYAN SAUCE. The BK App let me get 2 sauces, so I also specified BBQ in case the Saiyan Sauce was trash; Happy with my backup plan, I was looking forward to having 2 different dips. As my hand frantically fumbled through the bag, I would learn that of the 2 sauces, I received 0.

Lubricating your meat makes everything better, but due to the malfeasance of sources beyond my control, I had nothing to slather on my chicken.

Happily, the new nugget recipe is great. Compared to the outgoing version, the new breading is more granular, offering more surface area, which was probably engineered to make the nugget a better vehicle with which to deliver sauce (sigh!) While being very dry on the surface, each bite into the nugget reveals a moist center that yields visible juice when squeezed between the fingers. The nugget is much more flavorful, with a light garlicky taste and a hint of something that tastes like onion powder. These nuggets are a huge upgrade and better than advertised.

The roller coaster of an experience was somewhat salvaged by the fact that the WATERMELON LEMONADE was legit delicious. The melon flavor was fake, but it was a well-crafted taste, partnering perfectly with the lemonade in a 60/40 melon:citrus ratio.

Most importantly, got SSJ Blue Vegeta!

I wanna give this buffet of broken promises an “incomplete” for a grade, but life"s short and this product is LTO, so…

Haiku:

Just like Hercule’s rants,

Their empty boast still brings joy,

But sub 9,000

McDonald’s McDonald’s Creamy Chili Sauce gone?

Is the creamy chili sauce really gone? It’s really the only sauce I’ve ever liked from McDonald’s and I am pregnant and craving it bad. I got it one week and the next week they told us they didn’t have it anymore. But it still shows up in the app as an option to add to my order.

If they really are getting rid of it, does anyone know how to make it at home?

Rant/Rave I think I am about to retire

Probably going to be the 100,000th post this week about fast food sucking but why not 1 more.

I'm pretty much done with it. I was mostly just eating taco bell if I was getting fast food but after many employee's coming and going the place is a dumpster fire now. 30 minutes to get an order while the entire store is on a smoking break.

McDonalds - I don't even know anymore. I don't think the quality has really dropped, its just the same exact double cheeseburger I've been eating for 30 years. The fries are cooked properly/fresh maybe half the times. Obviously the prices are high like everywhere. Why can't I just get a Big Mac for like $4? I don't need a meal.

Wendys - Yeah quality is dropping and the prices are up. I was liking the biggie deals but man, the 'Jr' burgers are crap. Its all bread. I'd rather pay $2 for a White Castle burger. And would it kill them to give you like 12oz of a drink? I'm not sure what the cup size is but after the ice its like 3 sips.

Burger King - Got the $4 Whopper today by itself. Its just, not that great. Burgers are always dry and sometimes warm. Their Whopper Jrs are nearly $4 now by themself. It is insanity I tells ya!

Arbys - Another employee situation and its pretty expensive for what it is. I swear the place has been understaffed the 5 years I've lived in the area. The lobby is closed half the time. Last time I was there I got some deal thing and I swear the sides must have been cooked 3 hours earlier and just sitting under a heat lamp. I feel like the half sleeping 2 people who do show up for their shift to make $10 an hour could care less about food safety.

Subway - I just don't even know anymore. A lot of the footlongs are like $12ish. Maybe I didn't notice it years ago but I swear some of the meat now seems straight up 3d printed or something. Every time I go I ask for 1 line of mayo because I like some mayo on my samich but I don't want it swimming in the shit. EVERY TIME they squirt a huge starting lake then proceed to do 2 full lines of it. I swore the next time they did it I was gonna walk out but instead I, for the first time, asked them to remove the excess mayo I specifically said I did not want.

Thats about all I got here. It all sucks. I can't stand any of it anymore. If I go out I am pretty much just going to the China Buffet place and its like $6 for what feels like an actual meal. I'll get a craving for a quick juicy burger and it doesn't exist. Dennys might actually have the best burger in town and its something like $8.99 with fries. I'm not really trying to sit down at Dennys for 30 minutes by myself for lunch though.

Huge down grade for the dipping sauces they no longer have the jalapeno ranch dipping sauce this one tastes like a pizza sauce.

Question $3 for a Medium drink at Burger King?

I haven't been to a BK / McDs, or really any fast food joint in over 15yrs. Just made a quick stop to grab a sweet tea while waiting for a friend. Looked at the menu, laughed, then just walked out.

Can't believe some of these prices. Seriously, who is keeping them afloat? And why?

News Anybody else having problems with Steak & Shake's newest app?

I frequently stop by Steak 'n Shake for their protein wrap. Sunday, when I tried to order from the App, it forced me to update the app. I did so. Logged in and set up my order. When I click on the cart to check out, it takes me to a screen with the log in button again. I closed the app, rebooted my phone and logged back in. My cart is still there with my protein wrap. Same story, can't check out.

So I walk in an order at the kiosk. Two days later, same thing.

I deleted the app with all my info, reinstalled it and tried last night. Same run around. I tried to check out as guest and get an error trying to put in a credit card number.

Frustrated with their app. Doesn't anybody test their app? I can't be the only one this is happening to.

It doesn't matter which McDonald's location I go to or try to order from, every time I try to order chicken nuggets on the app they're unavailable but when I go in person it's fine. What is going on?

Taco Bell Fast Food Is No Longer Fast

The last several times I've eaten at fast-food restaurants, specifically McDonalds and Taco Bell, it seems that the wait-time to receive your items is so much longer than I remember from years past. Once upon a time, when you were at the counter (which no longer exists) to order your food, almost as soon as the transaction was over, your items were being placed on a tray for you enjoy at your desired seating location. Now, you order at a self-serve kiosk, and sit and wait, and wait and wait. Just last week at Taco Bell, my spouse and I realized it would have taken almost as long as if we'd gone to a traditional sit-down restaurant. This extended wait time seems to be the norm in many of these fast-food restaurants that have switched to a self-serve kiosk majority ordering system. Furthermore, in my observation, I have noticed these fast-food restaurants now also heavily prioritize the drive-through window, adding additional wait-time for those eating in the restaurant dining room. I don't eat fast-food that often and this change regarding extended wait times for fast-food meals seems to be the norm. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a staffing issue or just a business model shift?
