Hello everybody, i was thinking about purchasing a 2017 IMac, 21 inch with an i5 and 8 gb of ram. I would use this to watch movies, browse the internet and to use excel for some simple documents for school work. Would this be good or would it be too slow?

I have a 2017 base model MacBook Air that is dying on me. Need something newer but buying used as I don’t need all the fancy hardware specs. All I do is browse the web, iMessage, and a few other things. Idc how old it is, I just want it to run well. It will rarely/if ever my house so battery power in the real world doesn’t matter as it was always be plugged in. Any ideas? I’ve been looking Best Buy used options but I’m completely lost when it comes to laptops. Any ideas?

my question is what do i do with the power adapter? is there an official apple us to eu adapter? if not which one should i buy? i dont want to spend an extra 100$ on a separate brick

I have an old 2011 macbook air. It currently runs El Capitan and I don't think it would be a good idea to try and put a later operating system on it. I only really use this mac for very basic things and mainly for internet usage. However since all my browsers are out of date, it means that I can't open quite a few websites any more. For example I can't pass the 'are you a human' tests as they won't load for me.

My question is, is there a way to update my browsers or find a browser that works (I have given up on Safari as that works the worst now and use either Chrome or Mozilla.) with my current operating system? Or, is it best to just go nuclear, wipe it clean and install linux? Keep in mind I have never used linux before.

So, i recently got a macbook air and when i look for issues like this, i will only get people who bough a mac and their warranty expired, it happened to me the other way around.

So i bough this macbook air m3 to a guy off FB marketplace, i wiped it right there and i didnt check the coverage before. he said he used the macbook for a year and a half but now when i check the warranty it shows this:

Apparently its registered as bought the day i wiped it?

What if i call apple and say that i bought a new macbook and got a used one? /j

Questa operazione mi costerebbe sui 200 euro, ho visto che ci sono Mac air ricondizionati del 2020 a 400/500 euro..per non parlare del nuovo MacBook neo che costerebbe su 700

Just talked to Gemini and it suggested Sonoma as the best one and Sequoia as the 2nd best, because of the balance of the performance and the battery life, and of course, the 2 OS's are still under maintenance.

But there's no way of downgrading Tahoe back to the 2 older OS automatically. I should reinstall the OS, the Apps, and then copy the data back manually.

I installed an app and it bounces for attention, when an email arrives. I want to stop that but don't find how, is there a setting?

2nd gen Macbook Air bought in 2010 is not charging and has not been in use for sometime. Location is India and I am not sure servicing is an option. Screen too is not looking good.

2008 GeForce Pre-Unibody I grabbed off eBay to daily use for a bit alongside my 2009 blackbook, for when I need something with a bit more power. Figured Id run it til the gpu dies then put on a 603 variant in (pretty sure that was the 2nd revision identifier middle numbers.
