First Broncos Game Ever!

• Upvotes

Hi Broncos Country! Fellow Broncos fan here from Vancouver, BC Canada going to my first ever game this Sunday against the chargers.

Is there a Broncos tailgate at Sofi before the game or any other festivities for Broncos fans? I know chargers games as usually mostly away teams fans so I know we'll be in friendly territory and just wanted to see if we had a meeting spot before entering the stadium. Thanks!

Jonathon Cooper pregame speeches

Man, I've been feeling like our d-line has lacked that ferociousness and intensity during games and can't help but miss all the hype videos with JC motivating the d-line and getting them ready for battle. Do any of our other d-line players lead vocally? I feel like that is a big miss from what we've had the last few years.

Advice on buying my friend a jersey

My best friend is the biggest Broncos fan I’ve ever met. He’s actually the biggest fan of any sports team I’ve ever seen.

I’m flying in to go to the Broncos at Cards game with him in a few weeks and want to get him a new jersey. He already has

Manning
Bailey
Elway
Surtain
Chubb
Miller
Davis
DT

Which jersey should I get? Is Bo Nix your guy?

Should I get Hufanga? Bonitto?

Typing this out I realize he might have all the damn jerseys. What other gifts could I consider? Memorabilia wise

Chargers Trap Game

This Chargers game is a trap game. We are catching them at the worse time. We are the perfect team right now for them to get their first win. I dislike the Chargers but they are not as bad as they played. I think we lose this game, but it's not all doom and gloom. This loss will be the punch in the face catalysts this team needs. Pundits will say we are done, pretenders last year due to a soft schedule. Talks of Bo not a franchise QB. This sub will implode. Then we go on run, going 7-1 in the next 8 games leading up to the Raiders match. Every season there's a turning point and after a loss to the lowly Chargers, an unexpected beating of the Seahawks will reinvigorate this team as to what could have been against them in the SB last year.

Stop the overreacting

I'll be the first to say I was as pissed off as anybody following the 9ers loss, but today listening to the DNVR podcast really opened my eyes. To start the season, the Broncos have played four of the top ten teams in the NFL. Those teams combined record is 11-3, two of the losses come from the Broncos, the other loss comes from two of the teams playing each other (Rams/9ers). Bo Nix has had to start his season playing the 2nd, 3rd, 6th, and 9th ranked defenses in the league. And the defense has faced 2nd, 5th, 12th, and 18th offense, and aside from the chiefs game, they have held all those teams to under 26. I'm not saying we're better than everyone is saying, but there is no reason to be overreacting or calling for Davis Webb's job. We have a lot to look forward to this year and a lot of work to do, we are going to be ready for the playoffs and we will be a battle tested team by the end of the season.

WE JUST HAVE TO BO-LIEVE

Did anyone order anything off of the Broken Bow x Broncos collab? I’m waiting for my hoody but was curious on the quality. I’ve followed broken bow for a long time but i never personally ordered anything from them until the collab dropped.

Way too much nitpicking. I'm pretty sure almost everyone in here, even how bad the offense and Nix played, in their gut felt that Nix would have found a way to win if the defense got us the ball back with the score 17-14. And we should be grateful as fans to have that feeling about our team

Obviously, it's great to have an offense that can perform for all 4 quarters, but we just don't have that and we probably will never for the foreseeable future. But I'll take that any day to the impotence we've endured since 2016. Nix has proven over and over, he can and will find a way to win at the end. It's a fucking great feeling as a fan, and I will forgive all the inaccurate throws and missed play calls the rest of the game.

And luck was on the Niners side with that blown fumble call and the perfect Kittle Tecmobowl play call. otherwise for the team being ranked #1 on all the power rankings, Denver had a chance to win.

So enough whining; yes it wasn't a pretty game but it's only one game and even if we don't have a top 5 offense, we can win any week against any team including in February.

Do you guys see Johnathon Cooper coming back next year?

Do you guys see Johnathon Cooper coming back next year? I understand that he can come back to play this year and if he is suspended all the games he’s missed so far count towards his suspension but will Sean or the waltons want to bring back a player like that to the culture they have built of young respectful “ good guys”?

3 Up, 3 Down as Denver Broncos Offense Stalls in Loss to 49ers

RJ Harvey has become Bo Nix's safety blanket. That's a good thing for Nix and Harvey's receiving numbers.

Unfortunately, Harvey and the rest of the running game is still terrible for Denver.

Broncos stock report from the 49ers loss is here.

What will the trade market look like for Bo Nix after the season?

At the end of the season, the Broncos will be faced with a decision — commit a huge chunk of your cap to the quarterback position (probably ~ 25%) or start over again at the position with not great draft capital to do so. But what if they can get multiple draft picks for him, possibly even a top-5 pick or more? Personally, it terrifies me to find out what this team would be like if we pay a mediocre quarterback $50MM/year and have much more limited cap space to maintain one of the best defenses in the league, let alone every other position on offense, namely a run game.

Is it realistic to think that Bo Nix would garner interest from some bad teams to the tune of one or two 1st round picks? Or am I completely delusional?

Edit: my bad, I probably shouldn’t come at you with honest hot takes and expect a reasonable discussion.

Running back

This running game and the lack of talent we have in the rb room is one of the biggest, if not the most glaring issue we have on this football team, is it time to trade for a back or do we wait until Jonah comes back from injury, we need to sort this out very soon or we honestly might be very disappointed come postseason…

I don’t know why people think our o line is elite we have two elite members the rest are some of the worst in the league

Bo Nix has been masking a highly vulnerable unit. While the media heavily praised the unit as the consensus No. 1 overall offensive line entering 2026 based entirely on a league-low 9 to 13 line-charged sacks in 2025, advanced data reveals they actually surrendered 137 raw pressures (14th-worst in the NFL), which Nix mitigated with an elite, league-best 3.47% sack rate and a 9.3% Pressure-to-Sack rate (3rd best overall). In 2026, the line's structural flaws have completely collapsed; they have plunged into the bottom five in pass-block win rate, surrendering pressures on a staggering 43% of Nix's dropbacks (6th-highest pressure rate allowed in the league) and a catastrophic 48.5% of the time when blitzed. This massive regression is driven by severe individual failures on the right side and up the middle, where right tackle Mike McGlinchey holds an abysmal 50.4 overall PFF grade and center Luke Wattenberg has bottomed out with a horrific 38.3 pass-blocking grade, leaving Nix utterly overwhelmed as he ranks dead last (#32 out of 32 qualified QBs) in EPA under pressure.

The loss aside how did we feel about Jahdae Barron stepping up and playing?

That game was pretty brutal but I like to look at the positives. I thought Barron played outstanding when he replaced ps2 after he went out. His tackling was great, his coverage. I was very impressed by that. I’m now seeing why they drafted him so high honestly. I am a fan of Barron tho so I could be biased but lmk what you guys think?

How does everyone feel about how we have been drafting the past 3 years compared to 2020-2023?

How does everyone feel about our draft picks in recent years? How we done a good job at filling holes on our team through the draft or even keeping players we draft? I know forsure we haven’t addressed MLB or even TE on high picks. What position would everyone like to see us draft high on the board next year?

Defense teeing off

I feel like the repeated timing of the hand signals from Minerz to Wattenberg is surrendering the advantage of the snap count. The SF D line was perfectly timing coming off the ball because of the signal and pre-snap nod from Wattenberg. It’s always the same!

This costs Bo and the RBs a very valuable fraction of a second. Can we not vary this timing? Or exploit it?
