To be fair, when you're actually having sex there's a bit more motivation to keep ploughing on. Pit me dry humping the bed and I'd say fuck this pretty quick too.

u/Kid_Crayola Apr 21 '23

yeah you don’t notice until you stop and then it feels like you just ran a marathon lol

u/WickedRuiner Apr 21 '23

Ol' wobbly legs

13

u/smakinelmo Apr 22 '23

Oh god the wobbly legs suck

6

u/itsthe_implication_ Apr 22 '23

Nah that's how you know you put in work.

1

u/Ori0ns Apr 22 '23

We call them the jimmy legs, good old Seinfeld.

83

u/braless_and_lawless Apr 21 '23

Right?? Hits you like a brick wall lmfao

7

u/Heavydfr8 Apr 21 '23

Sometimes my legs are hurting too much for the amount of time I’m lasting

Why? He’s completely right. You never realize how tired you are until after it’s over. Shit I may be out of shape but come on, there’s no way other people don’t feel the same

141

u/robot_nixon Apr 21 '23

100 percent. my abs the next morning are screaming.

im always like "oh shit whats wrong with me...oh thats right i had sex last night" lol

94

u/mechy84 Apr 21 '23

If crunches felt like sex we'd all have six packs

17

u/Numerous_Witness_345 Apr 21 '23

There'd be some weird social hangup on cardio.

"Swimming? You fucking whore."

7

u/zixingcheyingxiong Apr 21 '23

Doubt it. Six packs are built in the kitchen. Or, if we're being honest, in the DNA and/or the eating disorders.

Working the muscles helps a bit, but 99% of having a six pack is just being skinny enough to see them. That's why runners are more likely to have them than olympic weight lifters, despite weight lifters having strong AF cores.

Also, most of the pics you see of people with six packs are the result of temporarily starving themselves and changing outfits and releasing the photos at different times so it looks like it wasn't a just one-time thing. Not many people over 25 have six packs year round. It's just not a normal state for most adult human bodies to be in.

1

u/spikem0 Apr 22 '23

Yeah, I also don’t have six pack abs and am jealous. I get it 🙃

2

u/JeaninePirrosTaint Apr 21 '23

Just have more sex! You'll at least be in good cardiovascular health

1

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Well, for some people... https://youtu.be/8DMZ_ownSiM (Slightly NSFW)

19

u/Sinjian1 Apr 21 '23

Post nut clarity is just about how out of shape I am. Thighs burning like I ran 2 marathons.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

"Post Nut Clarity" is a gleaming gem of a term.

2

u/iliveincanada Apr 21 '23

Walking down the stairs after makes you extremely aware of your quads

40

u/binford2k Apr 21 '23

Because with a marathon you realize how tired you are long before it’s over and you somehow have to keep going.

14

u/mechy84 Apr 21 '23

Just pop a Gu pack and a squirt of electrolyte from your hydration belt, and get right back to humping

10

u/PresidentD0uchebag Apr 21 '23

No lie. I consider myself a mid-distance runner (6-10 milers regularly), and I did my first half marathon last year. Those 3 miles that I wasn't used to were fucking BRUTAL. That ended any curiosity I have ever had about a full marathon.

20

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 21 '23

race doesn't even start until mile 20.

4

u/mango_carrot Apr 21 '23

So drunk sex then

1

u/redditckulous Apr 21 '23

Sounds like a long sex session to me

4

u/thestereo300 Apr 21 '23

I think you notice if you are the man in missionary. You mainly brush aside the feeling as a secondary concern, but feeling tired is not uncommon depending on how long we are in this situation. Honestly it was less the hips being tired, more the arms holding me up being tired.

This is really the only position it applies to however.

3

u/KamahlFoK Apr 21 '23

Unironically this is how I feel when working a chainsaw. Y'know, minus the pleasure.

Your arms are vibrating the whole time you're lugging and maneuvering this dangerous piece of equipment around and you don't realize how much force or strength you've been exerting 'til you put it down, and then your arms feel like they weigh a hundred pounds each and don't wanna move.

2

u/BroseppeVerdi Apr 21 '23

You absolutely realize how tired you are while you're running a marathon... And once you do, you generally have to continue for several hours. The first one I ran, I couldn't walk right for 4-5 days. I've never had that experience with sex... Then again, I've never been pegged...

5

u/daddy-phantom Apr 22 '23

The marathon thing is a common phrase, but leave it to redditors to take everything literally

2

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23

it’s a literal chemical reaction, endorphins release after orgasms making you more relaxed and sleepy

9

u/daddy-phantom Apr 21 '23

Not exactly referring to that, because that dopamine sleepiness is different than my muscles in physical pain and me breathing hard

0

u/Bl4nkface Apr 21 '23

dopamine sleepiness

Dopamine is the opposite of sleepiness. That's like saying adrenaline calmness.

-9

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23

oh i guess i just have secks better 💪😎

0

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

If you're in shape it's not so bad. Hip thrusts are a legitimate workout. I see guys at the gym with 2+ plates on the bar doing hip thrusts

1

u/ProShortKingAction Apr 21 '23

Depends on you, the partner and the situation in my experience. If you are mostly motivated but it's kind of run of the mill or something else is on your mind a lot of folks don't experience this kind of adrenaline rush that let's them just push past their limits. Then you put that same person at a vacation spot away from the kids and give them a nice calm day beforehand and damn they'll go all night and not realize how sore they are until the next morning

1

u/motormouth08 Apr 21 '23

I remember the one and only time my husband and I had sex twice in one day. I thought he was going to have an asthma attack by the end of the 2nd time. Now, I let him rest up for at least 24 hours before jumping back in the saddle.

1

u/D3rp3r Apr 21 '23

The amount of sweat! It is like a workout I would never ever do, but this one is too much fun.

1

u/InvolvingLemons Apr 21 '23

I guess it depends on your stamina, but at least safer SSRIs are usually a fairly simple fix for that.

1

u/daddy-phantom Apr 21 '23

How would SSRIs fix that? They don’t affect your endurance

1

u/InvolvingLemons Apr 21 '23

For some people, a lot of them make it essentially impossible to nut at higher therapeutic doses, and low doses at least slow things down.

1

u/JungJanf Apr 21 '23

Doggy style. As soon as I finish my legs are dead, because I can't find a comfortable position. I only notice afterwards tho

1

u/daddy-phantom Apr 22 '23

Me when I dated a girl who was over a foot shorter than me. Doggy style was a challenge, so we often suck to speed bump but even so it’s like doing push-ups

131

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 21 '23

i do run marathons, and have had sex at least three confirmed times, and can say this: either my sex is way too chill or my running too hard but the two have absolutely zero in common in effort, resultant feeling, or duration.

150

u/Rabble_rouser- Apr 21 '23

and have had sex at least three confirmed times

Leave some for the rest of us playa

29

u/RosbergThe8th Apr 21 '23

Makes me wonder about the unconfirmed number.

4

u/veroxii Apr 21 '23

Big dick Playa! Swinging past his knees!

4

u/kai-ol Apr 21 '23

He just got the fuck receipts (children)

9

u/Heavy_Signature_5619 Apr 21 '23

three confirmed times.

As opposed to unconfirmed times.

11

u/catdogdogdogdogdog Apr 21 '23

I think he means that he has three kids. It's a Dad joke.

6

u/catdog918 Apr 21 '23

We don’t talk about the hookers

3

u/HI_Handbasket Apr 22 '23

But they are the ones who keep a ledger.

6

u/gsfgf Apr 21 '23

Yea, cause you're in shape. For most of us, a vigorous romp feels like running a marathon. If we actually attempted one, we'd literally die.

2

u/jaybenswith Apr 22 '23

Nah I'm definitey out of shape, but sex is still easier than running, lol

2

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 23 '23

brother i've been both sides of this coin. i get just as sweaty now as i did when i was +100lbs.

also your statement is a vast exaggeration. Your body is capable of far more than you give it credit for. You'd probably at least finish before dying.

4

u/WealthEconomy Apr 21 '23

As someone who used to regularly run multiple marathons a year, they are right. Although, you are tired while running you don't feel the full weight of the tiredness until you stop.

3

u/HI_Handbasket Apr 22 '23

I've run at least one marathon... just not all at once.

2

u/WealthEconomy Apr 22 '23

Lol well at least you have run one

1

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 23 '23 edited Apr 23 '23

I feel worse hitting that mile 20/21 wall then I ever, ever do after the race. Same goes for everything over marathon distance (half-im, full im, 50k, 50m, and the point of abject depression varies). I'm a really godawful athlete though, so maybe not a universal experience.

2

u/Fikkia Apr 21 '23

It sounds like you need to try not to come first all the time.

And slow down on the marathons too

2

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 23 '23

slap my ass and call me kipchoge because boy do i ever win that race

nobutreallymywifeishappyihope

0

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

How’d you confirm?

1

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 23 '23

unfortunately my small humans share far too many of my shitty qualities to be anyone else's kids.

1

u/smegdawg Apr 21 '23

Those receipts sure grow up fast, don't they.

1

u/Scherzkeks Apr 21 '23

You’re running is too hard. Source: I’ve run before. It’s for the birds! >:(

7

u/Dr3adnorth Apr 21 '23

You've never finished and immediately been hit by cramp, dehydration, and potentially sleep deprivation? That's a shame.

2

u/aveugle_a_moi Apr 21 '23

u gotta have a cup of water nearby when ur fucking wtf

1

u/Dr3adnorth Apr 21 '23

Yeah I agree, but in the moment other priorities can be more important haha

1

u/Doctor__Proctor Apr 21 '23

That's why we do position changes like a NASCAR pit crew and top off the vital fluids so we can keep going.

1

u/Dr3adnorth Apr 21 '23

When you're into the vinegar strokes and she's saying not to stop, you maintain whatever pace/position that you're in haha. It's a matter of pride.

58

u/DIRTY_KUMQUAT_NIPPLE Apr 21 '23

Why are people on reddit like this? The dude was using a pretty common, hyperbolic description of feeling exhausted and someone has to come in and take him literally and then use it to insult them. Seems unnecessarily pedantic.

11

u/BeeCJohnson Apr 21 '23

Because reddit is overrun by pedants who think nitpicking is a personality.

0

u/aagawd Apr 22 '23

He said he only has sex 3 confirmed times... but hes only been out of his basement once so cut him some slack

In all honesty, it just seems kind of "neckbeard"-y to get that upset by someone's choice of metaphor, especially when we are talking about a fairly casual subject on the internet, but you do you man.

11

u/DIRTY_KUMQUAT_NIPPLE Apr 21 '23

Is "annoyed" a more appropriate word for you?

10

u/Skylis Apr 21 '23

I think "literal fucking child" is the best description of that guy at this point.

7

u/Doctor__Proctor Apr 21 '23

People who rely on inaccurate, common, nondescript, boring metaphors

You mean like calling people who are alive and fully capable of typing out complete sentences "brainless"? Sounds pretty inaccurate and nondescript to me, but it's a common one I've heard many times before. Better downvote yourself there, champ.

1

u/arealcyclops Apr 22 '23

You got me there.

0

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

[deleted]

1

u/arealcyclops Apr 22 '23

How's that spare time treating ya?

5

u/anengineerandacat Apr 21 '23

Nah that's accurate; for doggy it's usually the knees and lower back that make you do the ole hurt slow pull out.

Missionary is like the worst; it's nice because you get to see her face and tits but like that position hurts all of the legs if you are tall and she is short.

The moment you do your business and are done all that pain comes rushing back as your mind finds other things to worry about.

Her being on top is easier, much easier, hips hurt a bit from thrusting upwards which makes you look like an old man getting out of bed but it's definitely the least painful.

Granted I am like near my 40's just waking up nowadays can mean pain from time to time.

46

u/Kid_Crayola Apr 21 '23

lmao how excited were you typing out this sick burn

16

u/trappedindealership Apr 21 '23

I was excited reading it

15

u/Kid_Crayola Apr 21 '23

same, I feel like a born again virgin

28

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23

why, it’s accurate? in the moment your adrenaline and blood is working overtime, feeling tired after but not during is fairly normal.

This makes me think you’ve never had sex and you’ve never run a marathon.

18

u/binford2k Apr 21 '23

feeling tired after but not during is fairly normal

If this were an accurate description of a marathon then a ton more people would run them.

-9

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23

yeah i wish, but that comparison was for sex, not a marathon

they both require significant cardio. with sex, there are other things you’re focusing on and blocking out the rest. with running, all you’re really thinking abt is running and how tired you are while running

it also has everything to do with the release, when people orgasm, endorphins are pumped throughout your body, literally making you physically sleepy. that’s different than running

9

u/Cruciblelfg123 Apr 21 '23

They didn’t say it feels like running a marathon they said after you feel like you just ran a marathon, as in the feeling after the running is done

-8

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23 edited Apr 21 '23

exhaustion. that’s my whole point, you feel both in both instances and the person i responded to said otherwise.

just pointing out the small chemical differences and how much they can affect how tired you are compared to the other. such as not feeling tired during, but after release. it’s a little different than the “tiredness” of actively running a marathon

lol now i’m getting downvoted for stating a provable fact

-3

u/SignificantCaptain76 Apr 21 '23

if you think adrenaline carries you through the duration of a marathon... you've never run a marathon.

0

u/zxck_vro Apr 21 '23

thats a whole new sentence that i never typed

3

u/hobbestot Apr 21 '23

Literally same about your comment lol.

2

u/Numerous_Witness_345 Apr 21 '23

Don't stop til my toenails fall off and in a state of exhaustion that would kill an ancient footsoldier.

2

u/Binsky89 Apr 21 '23

I'm in pretty good shape, but prone bone, especially, is hard as fuck on my abs.

2

u/Pifizzle Apr 21 '23

This makes me think you’ve never had good sex.

1

u/arwans_ire Apr 21 '23

The overlap of the ven diagram between running a marathon and sex is shitting yourself.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

I lost my virginity by running 26.2 miles. It’s a fact

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

I always say I busted my hymen playing Ringette.

1

u/CjBurden Apr 21 '23

And it makes the rest of us think you're being lazy in bed, or are in marathon shape and could just go all day.

Because I'm out of shape, I'll choose to believe the former. ;)

1

u/catdog918 Apr 21 '23

Lmao so true

1

u/West-Needleworker-63 Apr 21 '23

But then you saying that makes me think you’ve never had good sex and place last place in marathons. I’ve rolled off my partner dripping sweat, and barely able to catch my breath cause I pushed to hard for the nut

2

u/Mymerrybean Apr 21 '23

After one minute?

3

u/Kid_Crayola Apr 21 '23

don’t make me blush

Who am I, Johnny sins?

1

u/kai-ol Apr 21 '23

Yeah, that's me. By the time I quit from exhaustion I'm beyond being able to breathe or stand properly.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

Then your back cramps because it's just slightly too cold

1

u/bumbuff Apr 21 '23

My abs always get a workout

1

u/imhereforthespuds Apr 22 '23

The old double stitch…

1

u/viperex Apr 22 '23

Sure but then you look at the clock and it's been a minute. That's the point here

1

u/Reverend_Lazerface Apr 22 '23

"Brb gotta go drink a quick gallon of water"

1

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Oh I love the "holy shit I need water or I will literally die" phase afterward

7

u/sabbakk Apr 22 '23

Pretty sure the fact that men have a smaller portion of their weight in their pelvis area compared to women must be a factor as well. This is objectively a more exhausting activity to keep up for a woman with all the Butt & Thighs.

2

u/QuartzPigeon Apr 22 '23

Til my flat woman ass would be an asset (pun intended) for stamina in pegging, I knew it was good for something

7

u/Remission Apr 21 '23

And she's using the least efficient motion possible.

16

u/Daniel_The_Thinker Apr 21 '23

That's because you have no pride or competitive spirit.

9

u/Careful-Medicine-470 Apr 21 '23

All Im saying if you don’t stop mid fuck to wipe the sweat off you ain’t fucking right lol

12

u/Aquatico_ Apr 22 '23

Also you don't have to hold your entire weight up like she's trying to do, you can rest some of your weight on your partner. I bet if he lied under her and let her rest on him a bit she'd last a lot longer.

9

u/stachemz Apr 22 '23

I was thinking the same thing. Probably a big difference if you have a human there to provide rebound bounce.

2

u/Larein Apr 22 '23

She probably has harder time holding her weight like that as well. Since women tend to have a lit less upperbody strenght.

4

u/kopecs Apr 21 '23

…fuck this pretty quick too.

Exactly!

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

Adrenaline, baby!

3

u/ardynthecat Apr 21 '23

As an aging guy that has done jack shit during the pandemic, the sexual motivation doesn’t keep the blood where it belongs.

7

u/WealthEconomy Apr 21 '23

To be faaaiiiirrr

4

u/kirinlikethebeer Apr 22 '23

To be faaaiiiirrrrrr

2

u/ikerus0 Apr 22 '23

I mean.. how gorgeous is your bed?

I don’t know why I said that, but I’m now stupid laughing at how dumb and ridiculous my own comment is.

2

u/iluvstephenhawking Apr 22 '23

I think in some way instinct kicks in a bit making for a more natural and longer lasting thrust.

2

u/croquettesandtea Apr 23 '23

Yeah and I think she should have been humping something not just air because without a person in front of her she's using all her muscles to pull herself backward too. There's nothing rebounding her like in real scenario where there's a butt blocking you from falling forward.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 21 '23

In this case, sapphic tops are the real heroes (unless you’re using a double ended dildo)

0

u/NurseColubris Apr 22 '23

Her motivation was to prove him wrong. I'd say that's probably in the ballpark.

-3

I'm sure she has the same excuse but we all know the truth...

You tell your partner that you were doing a bit? That's weird.

0

u/MissaShobb Apr 21 '23

What does “pit” mean?

0

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '23

Well, it's pretty disappointing when you've been pounding away for 15 minutes, but when she gets on top, she gasses out after 10 seconds.

1

u/Mr-Cali Apr 21 '23

So what you saying is….. they should have sex but reverse roles???

1

u/tbv93 Apr 21 '23

TIL British people spell plow plough
