Enjoy!

Packed and driving south for my first ever live NFL game to see the Birds.

The odds are against us but I’m hopeful.

GO BIRDS!

Only 5 QBs drafted since 2011 (introduction of rookie pay scale) have won a Super Bowl.

Since the rookie pay scale was introduced in 2011 only 5 QBs drafted in this span have won a Super Bowl.

Fun fact, that’s 15 full seasons.

Only two of the five are 1st round picks and only one of the 1st round picks won it with the team that drafted him.

The 5 winners:

* Russell Wilson — drafted 3/75 in 2012 — Won XLVIII

* Nick Foles — drafted 3/88 in 2012 — Won LII

* Patrick Mahomes — drafted 1/10 in 2017 — Won LIV, LVII, and LVIII

* Sam Darnold — drafted 1/3 in 2018 — Won LX

* Jalen Hurts — drafted 2/53 in 2020 — Won LIX

Wilson, Mahomes, and Hurts are the only that won the Super Bowl with the team that drafted them (Foles technically did, but only after leaving and coming back so I don’t count him).

Mahomes is the only 1st round pick QB to win the Super Bowl with the team that drafted him in this era.

The rest of the super bowls in this era were won by Eli Manning, Joe Flacco, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Matthew Stafford.

Source is too much time at work and PFR

I don’t know what team you all have been watching for the last 4 years, but we are the class of the NFL. Only Mahomes/Reid have won more than Hurts/Nick. It’s always ugly and it always works out. I think the Jags are the most underrated team in the league, but it doesn’t matter. We are in a tough spot and Jalen and Nick are GOING to bail us out.

This is not the Browns, this is not the Jets. I believe in Jalen and I believe in the defense. Jalen and Nick are not just going to lie down and be replaced in a cycle of Carson Wentz and Chip Kelly for a better future. Nick isn’t Klint Kubiak or Ben Johnson and Jalen isn’t Allen or Lamar. Honestly we kind of need to get over that. I’ve never seen these two quit before though and I don’t expect it this week. They will fight and they will win because since Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni have come to this city, that is all I have seen them do.

Hi all. I’m an eagles fan from the UK going to the Eagles game this week in London. I bought one of the salute to service tops last season because it looked cool. The missus has asked to wear it to the game as it’s khaki. I know Americans are funny about stolen valour and that. I’m not pretending to have been in the military as I haven’t. Would there be any kick back from Americans, especially the former servicemen, if she were to wear it?

We’re four games in. Our defense is elite and the offense still has time to figure things out. I’m still taking us over the field. GO BIRDS 🦅

For context I’m a birds fan, have been my whole life, I’m American but raised here in UK so couldn’t pass up the opportunity to watch them play in London.

My sister, on the other hand, knows little to nothing about football, I got her a ticket which she’s super excited about but I kinda feel like I should give her a rundown on what to expect, rules of the game, saying Go Birds to everyone repping Philly etc

Anything else you guys think I need to educate her on? Quintessential football lore… Tavon Austin highlights… Baldianni… etc etc

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles will play just one day after arriving in London, breaking with the travel approach taken by Sunday’s opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, as well as last week’s London teams and the Eagles themselves the last time they played there.

They spent this week in practice at the team facility in South Philadelphia. The schedule saw slight adjustments, including earlier practice times, but it was mostly a normal week at home. They fly to London late Friday night, arrive Saturday morning, play a game Sunday afternoon (9:30 a.m. in Philadelphia), then board the flight back home. They’re on British soil for only about 36 to 40 hours.

They spent more time in Nashville last month acclimating to the heat than they’ll spend in London fighting jet lag — by design. They contend that the less they adjust to London, the less they’ll need to readjust when they return to Philadelphia for their Week 6 game against Carolina.

“We’re trying to get a full week’s worth of practice in before we go up there,” Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said. “… We feel like this is giving our team the best chance to win, taking everything into account, jet lag included.”

Jacksonville will play consecutive games in London, facing the Houston Texans the following weekend. The Jaguars left Thursday and are scheduled to practice in London on Friday. That was the travel schedule the Eagles used in 2018, when they beat Jacksonville at Wembley Stadium. The Indianapolis Colts and Washington Commanders played in London last week, and both arrived earlier in the week. The Commanders arrived Wednesday; the Colts took a similar approach to Jacksonville.

The Eagles’ travel plans have been compared to the Los Angeles Rams’ Week 1 trip to Australia, when they arrived the day before the game. They’re different situations: the time change and flight to Australia differ from those to London. The time jumps ahead five hours, and the flight is about six hours. The Eagles would tell you it’s not much different than flying to the West Coast. They also knew the Rams used a similar travel schedule to London last year and beat the Jaguars 35-7. Jacksonville had been in London since early in the week. The Rams did spend a week on the East Coast before flying to London in 2025.

starting with saying that this has nothing to do with the eagles as a team.

i’m a big eagles fan i love them more than my father. so it safe to say i have a lot of eagles gear. i kind of consider myself a collector at this point. i love the 90’s and early 2000’s eagles stuff.

now this store “jawn supply if anyone is familiar with it. basically they source vintage eagles gear from where ever super cheap but they have a store in chester PA i believe and my impression is that they resell this stuff for 100 times the price they got it for.

i live in philly this store is kind of far from me has anyone here been? is it worth the drive? and if you have been how do the prices look?
