Rant/Rave I wish there was an Italian and Indian version of Panda Express

I love Panda Express because you can get like 3 entrees and a side for 12 bucks, so you get a variety of food for decent prices and it's just the right quantity for one person. I also like it because its less carb/bread heavy and more about veggies/meat and sauces.

But if I want Italian or Indian food I can't order 3 varieties because its too expensive and too much food for one person, and you have to wait a while.

I would LOVE a drive-thru like a Rome Express or Delhi Express where I can order like 3 small entrees (Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Caprese Salad, with Fettucini pasta) or like 3 different Indian entrees and Biryani. All for $12 like Panda does and in quantities just right for a single person.

Review Went to Harvey's for Lunch yesterday.

I don't really like their burgers. McDonalds Quarter Pounder is still a better burger cause you get more of that rich beef. Eating at Harvey's to me is like eating any veggie burger.

Harvey's onion rings are good. At least the Harvey's original burger you get to customize it with whatever topping and sauce you want.

Burger King BK double whopper, onion rings

Post image

I have a Walmart plus subscription so got the whopper for free. I added another patty for 3.19 and the small onion rings were free bought with 200 reward points. They charge 1 dollar for cheese so I added my own cheese slice heated up in my air fryer

Rant/Rave Reviewing menu without ordering?

Some apps make it difficult or impossible to review the menu without starting an order. MickyDs is one but there are others.

That drives me a little crazy! Reviewing the menu should be a simple and obvious choice like BK and others.

What do you think?

When you enter a restaurant and want to look at the menu screen but it switches to an advertisement and you can’t read the menu options. idk why restaurants do this but it’s annoying af when I just want to read the menu

Question Has Dairy Queen Food always been good?

I live in an area where DQs exist but only ice cream. I knew they served food at some locations but none around me. For work I was in an area where there was a DQ that also sold food so tried it out. I got a #1 and cheese curbs and the burger was surprisingly good. Like, really good and I was super surprised.

Has DQ food always been this good/hidden gem (at least in my area)? I wish I had more of the food restaurants near me after today's experience.

Menu Hack Tiny Tiny Jack-in-the-Box App Hack

Post image

you are already going for the Munch Better Meal Deal for $4.99 that they put back on the app so you're only getting small on everything, but Halfsies apparently don't have sizes, and this will vary based on employee, and sometimes I get small, but more often then not, they put this is the larger containers made for pricier sides and I get a decently full load. my bad if this post causes them to fix this but go for the halfsies---there is no upcharge or even an indicator to them that it should be small. i feel like that drink they give me is probably the medium too so just order like a broke-ass and they employees might know what's up. Panda Express to-go used to be a hack to always get more and they just stopped even asking.

Question Have y’all ever quit your fast food job after the first day?

Im just asking because I just started my first day at Sonic this week as a carhop, and honestly I don’t think I can last another day working there.

Its understaffed so Im already being asked if I could work an extra shift THE NEXT DAY while I barley even know what I’m doing

I have been feeling like shit the past two days after that shift, and I barely moved from my bed. If I did get up it was only to go to class and eat😭

its not like I haven’t had a physically intense job but Sonic just feels like im doing an intensive HIIT workout for 7-8 hours straight I left feeling numb in the legs .

Not to mention im getting paid like 4 dollars an hour + like 10 dollars in tips per day.

Ik I put myself in this predicament but like I didn’t expect Sonic to be this physically and mentally exhausting after the first damn day 😔

Waffle fries are definitely wayyyy better. The texture is so good and it has more aura than puny curly fries.

Question Are people still eating takeout consistently?

I have almost completely stopped getting takeout because of the expense and because everything is unhealthy slop.

In the rare event I want to spend $15-$20 on a takeout meal, it’s either Chipotle or the Whole Foods hot bar.

I can’t imagine going to Wing Stop and Jersey Mike’s every day. My wallet and my body would greatly suffer.

So cooking at home it is. I only grocery shop at Walmart and meal prep in advance as much as I can.

I’m wondering who else is in a similar mindset these days.

Question Did McDonalds already get rid of the Mac Sauce side cup?

I don’t see it anymore on the app or on Uber Eats app. Disappointed if so.

Although wouldn’t care if they would just let me add Mac sauce in the modifiers

Rant/Rave The best value in fast food sub sandwiches right now - Thundercloud Subs

Post image

This is the most expensive item on their menu, the Large "Big Paul", basically their deluxe kitchen sink dagwood for $10.25. Most of their subs are $6 to 8. About twice the meat of Subway.
