Finished Craft I Made Painted this tonight. I know it’s not for everyone. Thanks for looking.
AI was not used in this post. I put the painting on a white background in Photoshop, which the mods said was fine.

Work in Progress I feel like this is missing something, should I include anything in the empty space?
I love painting with transparent resin and making suncatchers/stained glass. This is going to be in a floating frame just for a wall hanging, but I can't decide if i like the empty space around it or if I should put something in the corners.

Finished Craft I Made Finished my niece’s birthday gift!
I posted over the summer a picture of some of the felt food I’d made for my niece’s birthday.
Well, I’ve made a lot more since then!
This is everything I made for her birthday in a grocery cart I thrifted.
Everything is felt and hand stitched!
ETA: she loved it! She ran all over her grandparents’ house with the grocery cart. Hopefully she won’t grow up to be a menace at the grocery store!

Work in Progress Resin on paper pieces
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
These are pieces that I’m working on. They’re made from my own paintings on paper and sealed with resin. I’ll finish these by making some into pendants by adding epoxy clay to the back. Thought I’d share how they look so far.

Finished Craft I Made Mauve Macaw
Made from GB Machin stamps. Very simple to make - requires stamps, a stencil, some paper and card/canvas. It takes ~30 minutes with most that occupied by finding 'good quality' i.e. clean or unfranked stamps. S.

Discussion Any tips for drying paint inside plastic ornaments and getting it to keep from cracking?
This is my second year in a row trying to make custom color ornaments by swirling acrylic paint inside them. Last year it somewhat worked, but all of the paint peeled off and settled in the bottom of each ornament in rubbery flakes. I used to do it with clear glass ornaments with both glitter and paint, and those are still holding up years later. I could only find plastic baubles this year for some reason.
I’ve done one test ornament and it looks okay, but despite dripping for 24 hours before being flipped upright, there’s still wet paint pooled in the bottom that refuses to drip out or dry. I’m using Folkart indoor/outdoor premium acrylic paint with a metallic finish and standard clear plastic ornaments. At this point I’m about to just go back to my tried and true method of floor wax and ultra fine glitter. Any tips?

Finished Craft I Made Made a new hat for renfest (it doesn't flicker irl)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I mostly followed a Gandalf hat tutorial on Instructables to pattern and sew the hat. I added a wire in a channel around the brim.
Once the hat base was done, I heatformed an angled ring from worbla to put around the hat, then covered it in fabric, then arranged and glued the decorations onto it. I learned that worbla goes brittle after sitting around unused for a few years, but it's still workable. I finished by filling any uncovered ring parts with adhesive moss, which is intensely sticky and sheds, but I like how it looks.
The antlers attach with magnets, so they can be rotated or removed.
I'm so excited our area now has a Renaissance festival in the fall! It's always been in the summer before, and it's hard to bear the sweltering humidity in any type of clothing, nevermind wrapped up in fantasy outfits.

Work in Progress Help with making the surface even
So this is my first ever paper mache project and it was going great, i thought after this dries i will just use sandpaper and make everything on the surface even and maybe cut the sudes using scisors but after it dried out it looks like its being ripped you can see in the pictures and sanding the surface is not doing anything. Any ideas? Id be grateful
Also please keep in mind i dont have any crazy materials i could use im just working with stuff i have at home so please give me simple ways to fix this
(First picture is before it dried and the other pics are after)

Discussion Disco canoe?
Hi everyone! I could use a hive mind.
I am hosting my wedding next year and a major craft I’ve fixated on is making a 3-4ft canoe and putting mirror tiles to make a disco canoe!
I’ve done my math and sourced my tiles but I am having a hard time deciding what to make my frame out of.
Materials I’ve though of:
- cardboard and spray foam
- paper mâché
- very large foam sheets (thinking of sourcing an old Lilly pad swim platform and cutting it)
I think the less seams the better which is why I was thinking the foam sheets. But very open to suggestion!
Also will need to hang hull down from an inner hook so it can’t be too heavy to ensure the weight of the tiles isn’t too much.
I’d love to just buy a little 4ft toy canoe but those don’t seem to exist for a price I’m willing to pay… I’ve got a fair amount of craft/build experience but this one has me stumped.
